We had an enjoyable stay. Owners are very responsive. It is a unique rental (very mancave-ish) with lots of games to play. Internet was good and needed. Beds are just okay. Bed on the right side of the upstairs is worse than the other bed. Cooking can be a challenge with cooking supplies located upstairs. We would definitely consider renting again combined with the A-Frame on the property.
My husband and I rented the bunk house and my son, daughter in- law and grand kids rented the other cabin on site. The main goal of our trip was to spend time together and hunt rocks on the local beaches. My son brought his side by side and really enjoyed the local trails! The grand kids enjoyed the supplied games and we enjoyed the extra room in the bunk house to hang out together. We didn’t get a chance to really enjoy the yard and fire pit though as we were out and about most of the day and night but everything was nice and as pictured on the rental site.
We enjoyed the bunkhouse and it's quiet and peaceful rustic setting both inside and out. It was the perfect location for what we wanted to do (hike bike and relax). The sandy roads were not ideal for our biking but we managed to find some semi paved rds, the places we hiked were perfect as was the bonus trip to the Shipwreck museum and miles of walking along the shore of Lake Superior. Our biggest complaint was the mosquitos! We could not seem to get away from them!! Next time we would consider renting the A Frame Cottage on the same property.
