"We found the location to be on the right side of isolated. We quickly fell in love with the Taff Bargoed Valley and its surrounds. Each day tempted us to take a new lane up into the moors and explore the places we were driving through to get to our chosen destination for that day.The dog walking area is close and a joy to walk to and through. The local shop is no distance and supplied enough for for our needs.The beds and pillows are comfy as is the sofa.Having a dishwasher was a bonus, although we did have to provide our own tablets.Although we didn't use the external storage area our son was keen to explore what was in it, if anything.As an explanation for not scoring everything 5 out of 5 would be, somebody else jeans left behind a bedroom door, a piece of chewed gum found in a bedroom and some of the glasses and bowls had been returned to the cupboard without being washed properly.When checking in the email from VRBO issue the wrong key code to release the door lock, this matter was eventually resolved as the correct code is present in the digital hand book issued previously by Si.Overall though we had a fantastic holiday and would use Kilex House again.Food in the Ganland Inn (Trelewis) is good and the chippy, Jo's, is excellent. Both listed in the hand book."

"We had a lovely stay in this house near Caerphilly Castle. Train station only a 10 minute walk. Communication with owner was excellent! When we had some questions he answered really quick and accurate. For a really tall Dutch family the shower was rather small, but we managed.Some parts of the house need attention, but the interior decorating was nice. The chairs in the garden are really comfortable. We would love to come back for another visit to Cardiff."

"The property was lovely, at the top of steep roads, so difficult to walk locally if you have a disability. The owner left us some milk in the fridge plus a packet of choc biscuits which were very much appreciated. The stairs are narrow & on a curve, so it was difficult getting the handluggage upstairs. The bedrooms & the beds are comfortable, but without mirrors to put on makeup or to check your outfit. The lounge is lovely, but would benefit from a lamp as there is no lighting in this area. There is a washing machine, but no airer. The garden has wooden decking & steps. It is a lovely luttle area with a Bistro table & 2 chairs. Overall we enjoyed our 2 night stay"

"Torino lodge is a lovely place . My family and I stayed for 3 nights . The lodge was very clean and the host had left some very appreciated essentials inside for us . (Soap ,toilet roll ,tea , coffee etc . The only down side was that we had been sent the wrong access code for the key safe box so could not gain entry for over an hour and the beds are a tight squeeze for two adults because they are only double beds . The entry is via a quite tight lane where you have to watch carefully for on coming traffic. Would I recommend it . Yes definitely. Just the personal touches from the hosts are worth booking Torino lodge ."
