Bijou guest house in amazing location!

A lovely small guest house with amazing helpful hosts. In a fantastic location with views of the church from the bedroom and the castle from the breakfast room. Beautifully presented breakfast buffet with plenty of choice, delicious scrambled eggs and bacon, fruit salad, croissants, a selection of bread, cold meats, lots of different cheeses, cakes and fresh orange juice.

Superb experience!

The perfect B&B! The house is beautifully located and impeccably restored and decorated. Bruno and Laurent are kind and welcoming hosts. Breakfast was excellent. And, the price is more than reasonable for the quality. All in all, I would recommend this beautiful little guest house to everyone!!

An absolutely beautiful little hotel set in a gorgeous location near to the banks of the Seine. The guesthouse itself is simply fantastic and Bruno and Laurent are the perfect hosts, genuinely making you feel at home. As everyone else mentions the breakfast is delicious and plentiful! If you try anything the cheeses are amazing - I’d have gladly foregone my evening meal to eat them with a glass of local red. We’re already plotting ways to get back soon!

Everything about this stay was perfect. The hosts were so warm, the room was extremely comfortable, great views. Breakfast was incredible. We absolutely loved it and definitely want to visit again.

A wonderful welcome

We had a wonderful night’s stay at Carpe Diem. A warm welcome, a chilled bottle of champagne and a beautiful garden to enjoy. Our room was great, and we loved the different ornaments and pictures. We will come back - thank you for looking after us so well.

Such a delightful surprise! Bruno and Laurent (and Tara the Shi Tzu) are perfect hosts -- we were treated like honored guests in their lovingly decorated hotel with a great view of Chateau Galliard. What a fantastic end to our tour of France.

What can I say that has not already been said? The accommodation is beautifully presented. The hosts so warm and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They booked us dinner at a local restaurant when we arrived on a wet Sunday. And the breakfast! I think it’s the best I’ve ever had! Will definitely stay again.

The hosts were very attentive, kind and welcoming. They were very friendly when they met us, and while they showed us the garden, room and facilities. This was one of the loveliest stays we’ve had in ages. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome like we were old friends. Nothing was any trouble and our kids were made to feel like VIPs. The room was beautiful as were the common areas and the garden. With its amazing setting a stone’s throw from the Seine, with a view of the lovely church in Petit Andelys, we would be very happy to return for an extended stay and cannot recommend this enough. A perfect boutique hotel

Our stay at La Maison Carpe Diem was an absolute delight. Despite a terrible journey, we arrived in the early hours to soft lighting and music in the downstairs area, which was hugely appreciated after a stressful drive. The room, like the rest of the property, was beautifully decorated with just enough personal touches to make it feel like staying with friends. Breakfast the following morning was absolutely delicious, with tasty local cheeses and yoghurts to follow. Laurent and Bruno were perfect hosts and we hope to return again. Highly recommended.

So lovely and sooo yummy!

This new hotel is in a lovely little village just over an hour outside of Paris and near the Monet Gardens + more. The owners, who are very sweet, have decorated it with taste and it's very comfortable. BUT the best pat is the breakfast which is superb! It's made fresh and is so delicious! There is A LOT of food and I would have even more if I could keep going! Highly recommend! My kids and husband were all fans.

What a wonderful place to stay and begin our (long) trip all around France! This is such a cute b&b hosted by Bruno. The decor was lovely and eclectic, and the breakfast was to die for. There’s free parking on the street outside. We were here for 2 nights on the 3rd floor. Bruno helped me with my luggage up so it was no problem at all. Les Andeleys is a beautiful little town to stay for a visit to Giverny and Monet gardens, Both nights we got dinner at restaurants just around the corner from Carpe Diem. The first was a typical French restaurant and the second was a Moroccan restaurant. I highly recommend this b&b for anyone wanting to visit the Monet gardens. There is a lovely walk from the b&b along the Seine and Chateau Gaillard is also just a 10min walk away.

Vraiment exceptionnel. Maison normande traditionnelle rénovée de façon à préserver son histoire. Calme, décoration d’excellent goût, hôtes aux petits soins, chambre très cosy et confortable, petit déjeuner fin avec des produits régionaux triés sur le volet. Jardin très mignon. On n’est vraiment pas loin de la perfection !!

Carpe Diem : une expérience à vivre !

Bruno et Laurent nous ont accueilli les bras ouverts et nous nous sommes sentis tout de suite chez nous ! Où commencer alors ? La maison d’époque magnifiquement restaurée et située en plein cœur du village historique, les chambres décorées avec beaucoup de goût, l’espace petit-déjeuner sublime avec vue sur le jardin et le château Gaillard ? Ou les attentions de nos hôtes et leur sens de l’accueil ? Merci à tous les deux pour cette expérience inoubliable.
