"Beautiful old grand hotel right on the water front. Easy walk to ask the sights and restaurants. Main lobby bar is an old world treat. Concierge is first rate. Only problem is when they say a room has no view they mean it. Our suite was in the center with a view of something too small to be a courtyard and too big to be an airshaft."

"A lovely small hotel in an old building near the centre of Trieste. The staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. The facility, while fully renovated, shows its age, enhanced by the choice of an extremely dark decor and colour scheme throughout. Electrical outlets in the room are few and inconveniently placed, and the workspace is small. Mind your step in the common areas where the flooring is a bit uneven. I did not try the breakfast, which is extra. All in all, good value for money."
