Fattoria Manostalla is a gem hidden is a beautiful winery hillside. You will need to have a car to this place. No public transportation to this wineyard. The family and staff are fantastic and helpful. The father and son team is the best. Take the dinner. We had our dinner in their beautiful, tree covered, welcoming courtyard. The father is an excellent chef. He cooked authentic Sicilian dinner from antipasti, primi to secondi and dessert! Ingredients and meats are all from the farm except the seafood. They make their own excellent wine. All paired perfectly with the meal. We purchased their Catarratto white and Nero d’ Avola red wine. Both are great tasting wines. We stayed 3 days on our 2 weeks in Sicily. They had the best food and service compared to Palermo, Taormina, Giardini Naxos, Letojanni, Catania or Siracusa!!! For our last day in Sicily, we decided to return to Fattoria Manostalla one more time. Last minute booked and very happy to get a room. The place has a wonderful swimming pool to relax to soak in the Sicilian sun. We took advantage of the pool and the surrounding. As a family owned and operated, the surface is rustic, family oriented, clean rooms, great food and wine. They treat everyone as family. We recommend this place to be part of your next trip to Sicily.

Gorgeous location, great food, loved the animals. My only quibble was the lack of wifi due to the location of the hotel. Connection was ok in the main building but we had no service in our room. This is not unusual for the area as it is out in the country and not in the city.

We enjoyed our stay at Fattoria Manostalla a lot. At our arrival which was a bit late in the evening we were warmly welcomed by Lucy and of course big Kaiser (the farms dog). Every morning we enjoyed a magnificent breakfast with delicious local cheese, meat, juices, eggs, freshly baked cakes and much more. The staff (especially Lucy) and also the owner were really kind to us and always made time for talk. Our son loved the "farm" animals, in particular the kittens & Kaiser. In spring/early summer the farms trees are mesmerizing, amazing flowering bougainville and other plants all around the place. The swimmingpool we liked a lot, it's big, suitable for kids, well maintained and comfortable chairs ( umbrellas). La struttura, un antico baglio siciliano, gradevolmente ristrutturata si trova, fuori da centro abitato, immersa nella campagna. La camera che ci è stata assegnata non era comodissima, ma pulita ed ordinata. L'eliminazione di un letto avrebbe consentito lo spazio per due sedie ed un piano di appoggio per potere lavorare col Pc. Il personale è gentilissimo e accogliente, Colazione (dolce e salata) ricca ed eccellente con prodotti genuini. Punto di forza è il ristorante (da provare assolutamente). Cucina locale con prodotti della stessa azienda. La struttura è veramente "Pet friendly"

Le site pourrait être enchanteur mais ça manque d’amour et d’entretien. N’attendez vous pas à rien de luxueux. Les chambres sont vieilles la litterie aussi. De belles terrasses avec des belles vues mais on ne prend pas la peine de balayer et mettre un ameublement extérieur décent. Le déjeuner est médiocre. Pas de pain, il y a de la tarte et des croissants sucrés, pas de fruits ni de jus de fruit. La salle à manger intérieure est si vieille que je n’y mangerait même pas. La terrasse intérieur où on prend le petit déjeuner demeure jolie malgré les vieux meuble et le pavé au sol inégal et raboteux. Disons que les valises roulent avec difficulté la dessus. Le personnel est bien qd ils sont là. La piscine est jolie mais encore une fois tout le site aurait besoin d’une mise à niveau, les vieux parasols autour de la piscine, de petites attentions faciles à faire comme replacer les chaises longues autour de la piscine et ramasser un peu …bref ça dû être très beau un jour… le petite village et la plage de Balestrate a 8 minutes sont agréables. Ça prend une auto pcq c au beau milieu de nul part et la route d’accès est accidentée.

Strand van Balestrate ligt dichtbij. Basic maar vriendelijke mensen en rustig gelegen. Zwembad is fijn ( behalve op zondag als het hele dorp langs komt). Uurtje rijden naar Palermo ( super leuke stad , vooral de wijk ‘ la Kalsa’). Cefalù zeker doen!

The room was super clean and everything was in good condition. I marked comfort as a 3 because there is no comfy chair and no hairdryer. Room was quiet and staff were super friendly. Had antipasto for dinner which was great and the breakfast was good as well. I would go back. Excellent value.

This is an authentic farm stay, with a nice setting, fantastic food. The courtyard is very inviting, but the pool is perfect, it’s large and not too deep, so perfect for families. The host is gracious and the staff attentive. The food is authentic, the portions huge, and the meals are a nice experience. Note the location is remote, it is a long way to highway and 10-15 minutes to any restaurants or stores. The rooms are small and basic.
