The bar, and the outside seating area very comfortable and we enjoyed our drinks in the sunshine. Golf course, although we didn’t play looked in extremely good condition. A great break away. "The hotel is a typical old pub, the staff lovely and welcoming. The stairways and walls are dated, but the rooms are tidy, clean, comfortable and cosy. The full breakfast was beautiful. I enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again. For your evening meal we went to the Caven Arms on the recommendation of the hotel/pub manager and that was delightful too. "

"Stay was ok for price paid however is dated and tired especially bathroom area, needs general maintenance, re grouting, paintwork etc. Breakfast was poor, basically cereal and toast, paid extra for cooked breakfast which was small and nothing special. It wasn't the worst hotel I have stayed in but I wouldn't return. Shame as the building and grounds are incredible. "
