"Rooms are very spacious and modern, comfy beds, though not a lot of privacy in the shower/bath area if you're on the first floor as it looks down onto the pool area. Pool is nice looking out onto a small rice field area, but there's a requirement to book sun loungers as they're also sold externally. This meant on our first day where we were hoping to chill by the pool after travelling, there were no loungers available. If this is going to be the policy they should find a way to prioritise hotel guests and maybe message before arrival to give a chance to book, as we noticed quite a few people in similar situations. Staff were friendly but there was a bit of miscommunication at times so some issues were maybe not handled the best. "

"Our stay at Nirjhara was amazing! We booked the jungle pool pavilion room and it was quite literally perfection. From the time we checked in until the day we left, we were greeted by name, with professionalism, kindness and with genuine warm smiles. The staff really raised the bar at this hotel. "Amarta Beach Retreat in Tabanan is located right on a natural black sand beach which has stunning sunsets and is a lot quieter than the crazy beaches in Kuta, Legian or Seminyak. Peaceful, beautiful and quiet - perfect for a 3 night stay and a great location to explore the stunning Tabanan region - esp. villages, magnificent rice fields Bali is famous for, temples, night markets and cosy hill side cafes. Still undiscovered by mass tourism, Tabanan is a precious jewel in Bali’s paradise and exotic crown. "

"This was the most relaxing stay we've ever had. We did read a review that almost derailed our stay there so I'm going to address a few things. 1. The bathrooms are open air. Meaning they have large openings to the outside and you can't close it off. They are fully concrete which is smooth as tile. This was alarming at first and it became one of our favorite parts once we understood the authenticity of the location. 2. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms. None in living or kitchen area and none in bathrooms. It's very humid in wet season and we spent a lot of time in the bedrooms because of this. 3. Laundry. The listing says laundry but there is not laundry on premises. You have to contact staff and they will come to you to get your laundry and drop it off when finished for a fee. It's VERY inexpensive and worth it for the speedy and kind service. 4. Location. The villa is very remote and there is not a lot of services near by so be certain to bring things you'll need. That being said- this was an amazing stay. The staff catered to EVERY need and delivered every single request to the door. We got massages and facials in the villa. We had our laundry done for us. We rented a scooter and they dropped it off and picked it up. They made us breakfast every morning. We ordered food from local restaurants and it was delivered to us while we were enjoying the pool. We hired the driver for day trips and he handled every single interaction while we were out. "

"The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was amazing. However, they definitely need to improve on sealing the rooms as there are so many large gaps on every window and door as our kids had so many mosquito bites. They also need to close off the outdoor bathroom as my wife was unable to shower or use the bath tub in private as there was a room directly above the open bathrooms, there were also lots of ants and bugs crawling all over the bath tub so we couldn't enjoy it."
