"A hailstorm just a day or two before we arrived may have contributed, but the hot tub looked like it was in serious need of cleaning so we passed on it. We arrived before published check in time and room was not yet ready. Front desk was very accommodating and offered a similar room that was ready so we could check in early. Just wish they had advised us it was a handicap room with a roll in shower and no tub. Shower was nice though and room was nice and clean. Only problem with bathroom was no counter or shelf space at all, not sure if this is typical or unique to our room type.. Hair dryer would have been a nice amenity as well. AC unit was a bit noisy, thankfully we didn't need it after sunset. Would recommend trying to get one of their single story units. Ours was on the ground floor of a two story section and we heard every heavy footstep and bits of conversation from the room above us. Overall it is an interesting break from a chain hotel, fairly modern but with a hint of nostalgia."

"Upon check in the front desk said because I was a Marriott member they would upgrade our room. Room was not great, husband got a few spider bites, there was a trip hazard in the room that they addressed, missing light outside our room so hard to navigate getting back into room and blinds not working. Room 167 was also lower level so people are n the room above you could hear. Overall room size was large but needed a refresher for sure for a 4 star hotel. Manager did take off resort fee once we notified them. The he bar/lounge area was cool and the grounds."

"The fireplace was a nice amenity, the bar was convenient, housekeeping staff very helpful. The hotel charged my cc the full amount of my visit to my already prepaid stay. It was difficult to connect with the GM to resolve the issue who then blamed Expedia. This was not the case. Ultimately, the hotel credited my account but not the full amount. Expedia customer service to the rescue!!"

"The entrance is awkward and you hope you don't get rear-ended. There’s only one way in and out located right at a traffic light. Eed a tear entrance. Room fit our needs to sleep and shower."
