Perou Hotels

"The drive to the hotel is a little over an hour from UVF (Hewanorra International Airport). St. Lucia is a small island (about 27 miles), so you really see a lot of it on your ride. This mattered, because we didn't feel the need to leave the property. We had 5 days at The Royalton, and had a great time. If we return, we will take advantage of the excursions and maybe a half day in the capital. The food was pretty fantastic. Normally, buffets are a crapshoot at all-inclusives, but we loved our breakfasts, lunches, and dinner there. For restaurants requiring reservations, we tried Calypso (delicious), Zen (hibachi - so much fun), and Hunter (steakhouse - excellent). I will say that it was not easy to make reservations, and if we did not have our Expedia concierge, I don't think it would have happened. The prevailing thought was that everything was easy - easy to get lounge chairs by the pool or beach, easy to get free snorkels and towels, easy to get food... The resort did not feel crowded at all, even though they told us they were fully booked. We loved that. And, even our return to the airport - no traffic, simple check-in (completely empty), Priority Lounge. We will definitely return!"

"We were given a very friendly reception when we arrived. The hotel is beautiful and very clean The buffet breakfast offered a good choice of English and Caribbean foods. The pool was clean and it was easy to get a sunlounger and towels. It was easy to walk to the Main Street in Rodney Bay from the hotel. I would give it 5 stars all the way except from 9pm to 2am the loud music from the nearby nightclubs kept me awake. "

"St. Lucia is highly overrated. The views are nice but everything else is not worth it. Staff looks unhappy to be working there. This was a 3 star resort at best. There are locals on the beach that try to sale you things and we even witnessed a verbal altercation with a local and a guest from the hotel. The food is disgusting and has no flavor. The property smells like sewage at nighttime. Will never be back or recommend this place to anyone. I’ve been to several islands in the Caribbean and this was by far the worst experience. "

"If paradise had a personality, it would probably look a lot like The BodyHoliday… and gently insist you drink more water while booking you in for a massage you didn’t know you desperately needed. From the moment we arrived, this place wrapped us up in a warm Caribbean hug (occasionally accompanied by a slightly overconfident bird trying to move into our room). It’s a resort that somehow manages to be equal parts luxury escape, wellness retreat, and “shall we just stay here Waking up here is an experience. The rooms are beautifully done—calm, airy, and perfectly positioned for those “wow, is this real life?” balcony moments. Sitting out early morning with tea or coffee, watching the island wake up, became a bit of a ritual. Breakfast quickly became our favourite event of the day (and we don’t say that lightly). Whether it was banana waffles the size of your head or poached eggs and smoked salmon combo, everything was fresh, delicious & perfect. The spa is, quite simply, heavenly. Treatments are included daily, which feels wildly indulgent and quickly becomes something you consider a basic human right. If you can drag yourself away from your sunbed (no judgement if not), there’s plenty to do. Tai Chi, Ringos, Paddleboarding, Sailing. The dolphin boat trip was a standout—small group, wind in your hair, sea spray in your face, and that glorious feeling of freedom as you speed across the water. Add in a few drinks onboard and excellent company, and it’s hard to beat. "

"Beach was the highlight. Beautiful waters to swim or float. Didn’t have to wake up at 5:00am to claim your chairs which was nice. We went down around 7:30 and were the first few out there. Resort is compact which is nice. Short walk to the bar, restaurant or restroom from the beach. With the surrounding restaurants in the area it would be nice if the resort offered a partial all inclusive. The one bedroom oceanfront room was excellent. Having the extra bathroom was a bonus. "
