"Very spacious and clean room, modern bathroom. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just wish we had been told that the restaurant was closed for the season - we had no idea and went to the (empty) front desk at 7:50 am and again at 8:25 am for breakfast before giving up. Delayed the start of our day (guess we should have done more research on the off season before travelling - wasn’t expecting it to be as difficult as it was to find someplace that was open to grab a bite to eat). Would stay here again (not off season lol)"

"A wonderful stay! This property is a home away from home. Having stayed at many vacation rentals over many years, I can confidently say that this is a stay not to be missed. The property is as advertised and the extra touches are so appreciated. Just a heads up that the bathtub is 2/3rds size of a normal tub so unless you are a petite adult you will not get a comfortable soak. If you have children that need a bath, this would be perfect. The hosts are great at communication and provide a great experience. Passionately recommended!"

"Easy check in, clean, good bed and linens. Has character, and well appointed. But how abut chips or nuts for snacks rather than Mars bars or M and M's. "

"Stayed 4 night in Sep/Oct 2025. Lovely setting on a river. Unfortunately there was a fire ban so could not use the fire pit. The cottage is small but great for 2 people and a medium sized dog. Good size yard for the dog to wander (not fenced) and several walking trails right there. Note that you can't drink the tap drink but the host provided bottled water. Because water is trucked in, showers and laundry are limited. It did not affect our stay. Note that internet in the area, as well as a good portion of Cape Breton, is down to one bar. If you plan on working remotely during your stay on the island, confirm the level of coverage where you will be staying. The excellent Aucoin Bakery is a couple of minutes away from the cottage. We were there every day. Several very good restaurants in Cheticamp."
