"The room was excellent
But what upset us, the room was not ready for 3 check in we had to wait a further 35 minutes before we was allowed in the room.
When I complained about the wait I was told
You do have the best room!!!
Not good enough, we was not the only ones made to wait."
"We really enjoyed staying here for a couple of nights. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at the Japanese restaurant and drinks in the bar, both of which were good. The facilities in our room were very good. However, I did notice that the decorative cushion on the bed was rather dirty and marked. We enjoyed having use of the shared outside terrace but felt that the outside of the property was in need of refurbishment."
"Room was spotless, staff were extremely helpful and friendly, my aircon unit wasn’t working but i had a fan in the room which did the job .. 10 out of ten for the Ibis"
"Excellent helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and air conditioning made the stay very pleasant. Convenient location.
Two negatives - food quality in the restaurant was low for a 4 star hotel (I tried the burger). Outdoor seating could be made nicer. Currently feels like a smoking zone. Nothing pleasant about sitting there."
"this hotel is in a great location, right on the seafront a couple of min walk from the pier and only a 5min walk from the town centre. the rooms are large, and well equipped with a table and chairs, dressing table, large double bed and wardrobe with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room also.
the downside is that the hotel could really do with having some investment, while everything worked in the room it is dated and somethings in need of repair/upgrading.
the shower curtain for example only covered 3/4 of the shower so the floor got wet when used. the shower holder was difficult to adjust and missing a cover. while these art major problems they are little things that drop it from a 4star to a 3star stay in my opinion.
All that said for the price I would definitely stay here again."
"Excellent location, staff very helpful. Very clean
We want to upgrade , lady ( front desk)her name is Lilly was so helpful I appreciate her patient.
And Paul the doorman always he takes care of us .
We come every month here.
We give him the next stay date days . For car parking he sorted it out straight away.
Top man"
"The hotel was very conveniently located in the North Laines area of Brighton, a block away from the Royal Pavilion and 10 minutes walk from the railway station. It is a large modern hotel, the room was spacious , the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchenette was excellent. The room was air conditioned, great during the heat wave, and wifi worked fine.
All this said, this hotel chain seems to pride itself on using digital technologies and apps, and not having a reception. The checking in process was awful, requiring me to do an on-line check in and for info on two persons including photographic ID even though I was travelling solo. I tried calling the emergency helpline several times but it was never answered. Fortunately, there was a person at the entrance area when I arrived who was very helpful and resolved all my arrival issues, though only works approx 9-5pm. I would have had problems if checking in during the evening. I never figured out the App and never knew how to use the remote for the TV."
