Not a 5 Star. No air con, no minibar, no dressing gown, no sleepers, no shower cup, no chest of drawer to unpack, no coffe machine. Fan in a bath was very loud at night no able to turn it off. Balcony was dirty. Balcony door needs fixing. Stained furniture, stained rug. We had a kid with us, no towel or tea cup for her were provided. Views was amazing, very warm in the room, decor in lobby corridor’s beautiful but room super out dated

The hotel is gorgeous and clean. Our room was very spacious overlooking the ocean. The bathroom was huge, the tile floor was heated and there was a warming towel rack as well. We easily found parking across the street and were given a parking pass at check in (after purchasing the parking pass). The boutique hotel was so cozy we chose to stay in one night and order room service and just enjoy the ambiance. We would absolutely stay at the Chatsworth again.

Fabulous location, very nice ( but chairs are uncomfortable) decor, limited menu for dinner. Both Olivia and Matt, at the front desk, are superb and very helpful. Windows in the rooms can be opened which is nice. The 100 year old lift has very heavy collapsable doors which are difficult to open and shut. In my opinion, not a property for disabled or informed, but they do have a ramp to access the hotel and can be requested.

Needs to up its game
On the positive side, the staff were friendly, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. On the negative side, hotels that aspire to be luxury provide a decent çoffee making machine and a fridge/minibar. I was concerned that the hotel was not following food safety regulations at the breakfast buffet. An issue i raised with the duty manager. When serving hot food the regulation say it should be maintained at a temperature of 63° C at both breakfasts the items were lukewarm, a potential for spreading food poisoning. The selection of breads and pastries was very limited considering that an excellent bakery was only 50 yards away down the next street. (It was open on New Years Eve). At £570 for a two night stay it was not value for money

Junior suite was beautiful. We had friends up for tea and they were very impressed with the room, but they did mention every 5 star hotel has Nespresso machine.
