My husband needed treatment at Jefferson. I chose the Roost because of its location. It is hard to find because of its sign. It is fabulous. I loved the apartment and its amenities. I was worried because I would be alone walking back and forth to Jefferson. There are security guards out patrolling the street. It is close to restaurant and an organic grocer. I was impressed with the staff. They were very helpful. I would stay again.

Traveled with our 3 year old for 2 nights. Loved the location and the amount of room and amenities that came with the property. Enjoyed the fire pits one night on the 3rd floor patio. Right down the block from Reading Market. We parked in the lot around the corner. The staff here are SO nice. Everyone we met was personable and friendly. We had one small issue, and the front desk rectified it immediately and followed up later in the day. We loved our stay here and would love to return.

I would give 10 stars! Wonderful staff! Toya is the kindest and she truly love helping people! All the front desk people were wonderful as well! We will definitely come back and stay longer than a weekend! Thank you for making our experience unforgettable!

Better for longer stays
Overall pleasant experience! Was hard to find the building, a bit hidden and unclear signage. More of an apartment building than hotel. I can see how this would be great for longer stays with the full kitchen etc. But there’s no basics like oil or salt and pepper or cream etc in the room. I had a hard time getting the oven and coffee grinder to work but the staff was very helpful and kind in assisting me. I was disappointed the bathtub was not a standalone clawfoot tub as advertised. That’s one of the main reasons I booked. I also don’t think the mattress was a tempur pedic as I have one at home… but the bed was still comfy and I slept well. I liked the separation of living room and bed room.

Fantasic accomodation -well decorated, clean suites with a full kitchen including a real stove, which is why we chose it. Only complaint is that they could not offer a late checkout, so we ended up paying for a full extra day only to stay a couple of hours beyond checkout.

For what it is, this is a decent property. It is essentially corporate housing—clean but slightly warn, with fixtures and materials that look better than they are. Great if you want/need to stay a while and avoid eating out (full kitchen) or like extra space. Sort of like a “grown up” dorm building, with recent graduates, long stay business travelers and people who unexpectedly find themselves without their previous home. As long as you don’t expect a high-end residential apartment experience, this can serve your needs. If you are visiting for just a few nights, a full-service hotel is probably a better choice at the same price.

Excellent location for sightseeing etc. An appartment, rather than hotel room suited us much bettter. AC was a little noisy, however we did not need it due to the time of year we visited. Little point having a security safe in the apartment unless it is bolted down.

Such a lovely property! The location is perfect, walkable to many nice restaurants and bars, and the tourist attractions, as well as Readington Terminal food market. I especially loved the outdoor heated pool where you could swim laps. Also fantastic that the property is dog friendly, and that you are in a hotel but really you are in an apartment with a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom with all the amenities. I would love to stay there again!

Clean, spacious apartment in an excellent location. Wonderful common spaces on the 3rd floor—kitchen, fitness center, library, pool table, outdoor heated pool, decks with comfy seating and space heaters, coffee machine available 24/7. Very reasonably priced given its space and amenities.

Great location, wonderful hotel, loud A/C
Roost East Market is conveniently located to many attractions, restaurants, bars and activities. The staff was friendly and helpful and the accommodations were excellent and a great value. The only issue we had was the A/C is insanely loud - which seems to be the case at a lot of hotels. It can be turned off, but if you stay during warm weather, that won't be an option. If you're a light sleeper, this isn't the place for you. But if you don't mind the noise, the facility overall is very nice.
