Location was prime. Staff lovely. A little dated but still had character and charm. Pool on roof and outside areas were lovely to spend time on. Breakfast could have had less pastries/cakes but it was tasty. lovely views from our room. Staff were great at sourcing fresh flowers as a surprise for my wife

The hotel is small, however the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and CLEAN. Staff is incredible, always greet you with a smile And very helpful. Staff had many good tips on what to do, where to go, and places for dinner. Location is great, close to the port, Aragonesi Castle, and on the main drag full of streets and dining options. Highly recommend if beach front location is not critical. I would stay here on future trips to Ischia.

Being right on the beach with a beautiful pool checked our two biggest boxes, and it exceeded our expectations. It was the ideal spot to relax while still being within walking distance of the charming town. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. They even arranged a second room so our family of four had extra space, which made a huge difference in our comfort. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and after a few days it truly felt like home spending our days between the pool and the beach. Evenings in Ischia were absolutely magical—the town comes alive with a charming atmosphere, wonderful restaurants, and a relaxed coastal vibe. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would gladly stay at Hotel Solemare again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have traveled all over the world and this was by far the worst hotel I have ever walked into. The outside of the hotel looks nice, but the photos on the site are very deceptive to what the rooms are actually like. The place needs torn down and severely renovated. Bugs in the bedding and unclean/wet floor. It was so bad that I walked into the room set my stuff down and booked another hotel right away because there was yelling in the hallway and didn’t feel safe. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE... The room smelled like mildew and the balcony is free access for anyone that also has a balcony. The door lock was eaten away by insects or something and wouldn’t lock properly. If safety and cleanliness are important to you, do not book here.
