COVID-19 may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't shut down our lust for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to tackle travel's new challenges:

• Look into the restrictions and rules in both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so check before you book.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to temporarily lower your mask for identification purposes.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, you should position the pass on the reader and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now permitted in your carry-on bag. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to remove it from your bag for X-ray screening.
• To reduce handling during screening, place personal items such as your phone, coins and keys into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• If you're bringing food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to touch your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.
