"We stayed for 1 night. The first issue we encountered was a room without a microwave, nor a refrigerator. Apparently, guests can call for one, but I cannot remember staying in a hotel since the 1990's that did not have these basics. There was a Keuriig, 2 bottles of water, and an ice bucket. Incidentally, do not expect plastic cups or a hair dryer in the bathroom. The basic amenities for a longer stay are just not there. The second issue, and much worse, was waking up to sugar ants all over the trash can. I called the front desk and they gave me a $21 dollar discount. I mentioned they need pest control, and they said they'd let maintenance know. Side note: I saw a one star review from a month ago, same floor (4th) and the same ant problem. I guess they don't actually inform maintenance? This is supposed to be the "best" hotel in Cruces. Save some money, and choose a Days Inn or something. At least you'd have a microwave."

"Room was clean and comfortable. No issues during our stay. Felt safe and great parking."

"Staff was great, but the facilities were in really poor repair. The hot water heater was broken on day one, barely warm showers. The pool heater is busted, but you could go swim next door. The bathroom tiles were loose, they would shift when standing on them…there was no grout between the tiles either. A rusty spot on the wall where a pipe was coming through. It’s a cheap stay and you’ll know why when you get there. "

"We did not stay at La Quinta Inn because the hotel is located at a bad neighborhood; drug infested area. There was a mountain of trash next to the full trash can. "
