Mercantile Hotel The Rocks

"Clean, newly renovated and spacious room with comfortable bed, lots of light and large, new TV. Excellent value with included hot breakfast. Mostly friendly staff. Convenient location. For a mid-week stay, the room wasn't too noisy - except around 5-6am, when the outside traffic and delivery noises disrupted sleep a little. Shower not very hot and not a lot of pressure. Not enough hooks/shelves in bathroom and body wash was empty on arrival. Fridge and tea/coffee facilities are only in small common area, which staff need to keep a closer eye on to ensure water and tea don't run out. Had problems with room cards not working twice in a 2 day stay. Overall, were happy with our stay and would stay again. Most issues were likely teething problems following the renovations. But it's likely to be too noisy for us on the weekends with the early morning set up for the markets just outside."
