We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The views were incredible, even more so when the snow was falling on the lake! Everything that could possibly be needed was available in the home (kitchen ware, bedding, etc.). The host was professional and always responded quickly to any questions we had. I highly recommend this home!

February 2025 Weekend Getaway

This location was great for our weekend getaway. The lake view was beautiful, I’d imagine it’s even more impressive in the summertime! Large kitchen with plenty of seating, cozy living room area, & comfortable beds with extra blankets in the closets if needed.

Keep returning

We have stayed here several times on golf trips. Close to a few good reasonably priced golf courses. Lots of rooms for everyone. Will probably plan on staying again next year.

Family Christmas Gathering

Wonderful property for our group! Everyone had a room, bed and lots of space to play. Wonderful kitchen for prepping meals. Close to events we attended in the area. Saw plenty of wildlife. Just a great place to stay.

College buddies weekend getaway

Perfect house and location for a long weekend with college buddies from around the country. Large kitchen with all the amenities. Plenty of bedrooms and sizeable living area. Great outdoor space as well. Second year renting this property and we will be back.

Hometown Feel!

I highly recommend this lovely property. Plenty of space for our party of 11 people. Everyone was so comfortable and the weather and the lake were just so amazing. The owner made it so easy for us to check in and answered all of the questions that I had. Hope to rent this again next year for a family reunion! Prices are reasonable and made long lasting memories together !

Great weekend getaway with friends

Our group of four families (8 adults and 6 kids) had a great time reconnecting at this lakefront home! Plenty of seating and space for sleeping, loved the shallow lakefront for the kids to splash and play. The adults spent the evenings enjoying good conversation and the view from the deck, so quiet and calm! A great little getaway. Hosts were very accommodating and great communicators.

Pinckney lake house

Very functional house with lots of beds, nice towels, full kitchen kit. Really nice views. A great place for our family group. It would have been nice if the fireplace was functioning during our stay but everything else was fine and worked well. We would like to stay in the summer and be able to enjoy the waterfront

Family wedding weekend

What a beautiful and relaxing spot! The house and all the amenities were a perfect respite for our family weekend and extended wedding activities. Again, I am so appreciative of our host purchasing the baby bed to provide a safe place for my granddaughter to sleep. I highly recommend this spot!

Family Vacation

12 family members 4 families 5 nights. Families request was water, fishing, golf relaxation. This met all our needs . The house was perfect no one wanted to leave and we were busy all day long. We never had to leave. The lake is perfect for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming. We will come again.

Family reunion at the Lake

We rented this house on Portage Lake for a family reunion. The weather was great, the paddle boards and the kayaks were a big hit and so nice that is part of the house rental, it made the stay extra fun. I rated the cleanliest lower because it was not as clean as it should have been for a vacation rental house, it could use some TLC and deeper cleaning. Over all we had a great stay!

Lake Portage bliss

The house is kept very tidy and clean with perfectly comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchen is well stocked with the essentials for cooking and the gas grill is a nice Weber unit with plenty of room to hangout and eat on the deck. The view of the lake and sunsets is just pure bliss. We could not have been more comfortable, at home feeling and satisfied. We will rebook there for our next trip witjout hesitation.

Fabulous large lake house

Fabulous home for our large family in town for a wedding from 6 different states. Nicely clean upon arrival, beds and all furniture were very comfortable, and common areas were very conducive to catching up with family. Communication was excellent and all Interactions with Joseph (host) were very positive and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Appreciate the extra blankets in each bedroom closet, plenty of towels even for our large family, and the iron and ironing board. The lake view is stunning - given the opportunity we would absolutely stay at this home again!!

Girls weekend

The place was perfect for what we needed for a girls weekend getaway. The property was beautiful, and everything worked fine. I enjoyed kayaking on the lake with all the gear available. It’s well water downstairs so we brought bottled water. Water upstairs was best for bathing. Warning, there are signs from the neighbors protesting vacation rentals when you come in, but no one bothered us. Property manager was responsive. I would consider staying here again.
