The coffee maker was black inside the water compartment. I had to pick up silverware and dish soap from the dollar store because there was only 2 forks and spoons for a place advertised for 6 and no dish soap to clean dishes. "The room was clean but a little smaller than we anticipated. Was hard to tell online. We did a tour of other available rooms would definitely choose differently next time. The property was amazing. We stayed during the week so it was so nice and quiet. We had the Japanese soaking tub which was great! We brought our dog and we were able to take her with us everywhere on the property. You’d never know that it was a pet friendly place as it is kept very clean. My ONLY negative comment would be that there is no where to get a meal that isn’t ridiculous expensive. I understand the limited menus in the area but everything was ridiculous expensive and very bougie food. Next time we would definitely pack some more snacks and food. Otherwise the place I awesome and worth the stay. We loved the robes! Wore them to our sauna appointment and then went and did a cold plunge in the river. So tranquil! We did not hook up the the WiFi so we stayed off grid for the three days we were there and that was just incredible. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. What a fantastic place! Can’t wait to go back!"

"Cute motel! Had updated bathroom. Also, had a kitchen with full refrigerator. Unfortunately, because of the rain we did not get to experience the grill, picnic area and fire pit out back. Location is great if you want to do some heavy duty hiking....lots of hikes/trailheads within 30 minutes of Starlite. Michelle reached out prior to our arrival with very helpful information. My only complaint was that the beds were a little too soft for me....had foam topper. I highly recommend the Phoenicia Diner (15 min away), Woodstock Brewery (15 min away...has good food, too) and Peekamoose (2 min away)."

"The place is clean and there is a lovely view in the morning. It has been recently renovated, maybe partially because some of the fixtures still look pretty old. Based on signage somewhere on the grounds there is WiFi but we could not find a network when we arrived and there was no information left in the room. Not a big deal since we didn’t need WiFi anyway. Our biggest problem was with the check in. Hotels.com claims we should have received an email with check-in instructions and an access code. We never got an email from the property and they did not return our call for over an hour, during which time we were on hold with hotels.com trying to arrange another hotel stay and ensure we would not be charged for this one. We eventually received a call from the property with very simple check-in instructions, which they should have emailed. Instead of leaving at a reasonable hour for a long drive followed by an early morning were delayed over an hour wondering if we’d be able to get into our room. This is otherwise a nice, clean no frills place."
