"I only stayed a night in the hotel . Staff was exceptional . Food from restaurant was delicious both dinner and breakfast ( has fruit, yogurt, toast , etc a lot for €10 euros was def worth it . I didn’t use the spa because it’s outside of main building and it’s €15 euros. I love the location , it’s right in the center and 10 min walk from Christmas wonderland . It was amazing. Agueda is small town but their decorations are breathtaking def worth it. Transportation : they got a small train station , bolt worked on my arrival but to leave Agueda to train didn’t work so ask staff for taxi , and finally be aware : Agueda doesn’t have trains to Aveiro often so buy ticket ahead time. If you take bolt from hotel to Aveiro station is about €20. I would def come back again :)"

"Breakfast was a bit shambolic. Scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms and sausage for a cooked option is lacking somewhat. Even with such little hot selection it was rarely replenished meaning a wait. When the hotel is full, they'll never cope with thr size of the kitchen and the restaurant. That was the only disappointing thinking. Other than that, a faultless stay. "

"Absolutely stunning, historic property. Exceeds expectation. If you like Four Seasons, this far outshines. Property, accommodations, staff, and location are outstanding. We stayed in beautiful hotels in Portugal--this one is far/away the finest. Location is in the center of the historic, beautiful, charming village, which cannot be missed for meals, strolling, photos, etc. Highly recommend making the trip to the Arouca Geo Park for the Paiva Walkways and the suspension pedestrian bridge--experience of a lifetime!"

"We stayed here in the middle of a 14 day vacation. It was very relaxing, clean and awesome spa amenities. I especially appreciated the Turkish Bath. The rooms were very nice with incredible views and balconies. Great place to unwind. "
