Luxury villa on the beach with spectacular ocean views, private pool and jacuzzi

"A wonderful property, close to Galle Fort yet tucked away in a quiet and peaceful setting, perfect for rest and relaxation. Galle Fort is only about 15 minutes away, and the team was always happy to arrange a tuk-tuk whenever we wanted to head out. Taranga and her team were warm, welcoming and incredibly responsive. From the lovely welcome drink on arrival to arranging massages at the villa and cooking food according to our requests, their thoughtful hospitality made our stay very special. The complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and a wonderful start to the day. The villa was clean, comfortable and exactly as described, with a lovely pool and jacuzzi that added to the relaxing experience. We especially appreciated how attentive the team was and their willingness to cater to our requests. We had a truly relaxing and memorable stay and would happily return."

"The property was clean and convenient. The staff were helpful when requested. However, maintenance work has to be carried out in the apartment. The shower and the sink in the bathroom got flooded when used. The stove and the washing machine were malfunctioning. And the room was not cleaned during the period, though the terms and conditions state that it would be cleaned after the 5th day."

"Our four-night stay at The Merenchi by Alexander-Kane was nothing short of exceptional. Located right next to the Radisson Blu at Gintota, the property enjoys a prime yet peaceful setting, just a short walk from a clean, quiet beach that feels almost private due to the lack of crowds. We were privileged to be the very first guests and stayed in the Terrace Suite, which offered exclusive access to a private terrace with dual views—one overlooking a serene garden and the other opening toward the beach. The property exudes a refined, calming vibe, with top-quality finishes throughout. The rooms are spacious, beautifully lit, and filled with natural sunlight during the day. At night, leaving the doors open lets you drift off to the soothing sound of ocean waves. The grand lobby, elegant dining area, cosy couches, and a lovely indoor guest-only pool elevate the overall experience. The food deserves special mention—freshly cooked, organic, and absolutely delicious. Hosts Sanjeeva and Asanka were warm, attentive, and made us feel truly at home. With Galle Fort just 10 minutes away and Unawatuna Beach 15 minutes away, the location is ideal. Secure, peaceful, and perfect for private terrace dinners or small parties, The Merenchi is highly recommended for a memorable stay in Galle."
