10/10 Excellent
"Welcoming staff was welcoming. Maintenance staff was great. The bartender and restaurant waitstaff were also very friendly and the drinks were delicious and I did enjoy the grilled cheese. The hotel itself is very clean and aesthetically appealing. The bed was super comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. I did not like that the phone was across the room. There is also no place to really hang or place your clothes. The rooms are very small, and the bathroom door did not stay open. I had difficulty understanding how to access the restaurant...breakfast is on one level, lunch on another, Lobby, RB, Mezz...and when I requested assistance, the woman at the front desk was less than helpful. All that said, for the price, Joinery is a nice hotel and in a great location, near everything."

"Absolutely amazing stay! I originally came to Pittsburgh for a work trip and loved this hotel so much that I immediately rebooked it for an upcoming trip with my family. The design, artwork, and little unexpected details throughout the hotel make it feel like an experience, not just a place to stay. I especially loved the complimentary postcards you can actually write and send from the hotel. Such a thoughtful touch! Beautiful, unique, memorable, and easily one of my favorite hotel stays. 8/10 Good
"I stayed here for two nights and it was very pleasant. Breakfast was OK, but the coffee line got backed up because of some odd machines they decided to use. The room was very nice and clean and the shower was great… no problem with hot water and a nice grab bar. Elevators were a bit slow during the morning rush, but otherwise just fine. It was very close (10 minute drive) to Mount Washington, where my daughter lives, so it was really convenient. The hotel had lots of parking available. I’ve stayed at a few other places around Pittsburgh and I’ll probably stay here the next time I go."

"I purchased my room through Expedia for about $138 a night and the system offered breakfast for a dollar. My son ordered his room through the hotel website and paid $240 per night either no offer of a breakfast. Be aware of the differences. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean, quiet and AC worked great. We had problems with the room door lock, changed keys twice and still had issues. They reported it to maintenance when I checked out. Our stay was two days over the weekend staff was friendly. Did not use any of the facilities as I was visiting family. Plenary of parking. The road into the facility needed to be resurfaced. I’d stay there again."
