"The room itself was tiny, nicely furnished and extreme warm. No aircon / fan/ heater there. Bathroom was clean. If u don't need a kitchen or fridge it's not recommendable for the price. It was offered online with a whirpool wich wasn't available. No compensation for that.The water option was the main reason why we booked the place. "‘This is not a hotel’ is the first thing the hostess told us when she first called. The villa indeed is their own home and this is made very clear during our stay. The hostess treated our kids as a strict schoolteacher and to top it all off at the end of the evening also yelled upstairs that we were playing with the heating, which we were not. "We loved our stay at Effect Lodge. Our room overlooked the back side of the property, including the pool. Great views and an open feel in our large room. The host was so gracious and helpful. She recommended public transportation for our visit to Old Lyon, and it worked out perfectly. She also provided direction in getting our laundry taken care of. In many ways, staying at Effect felt like being at home. Highly recommend this property!"
