Good location, quaint

The Plainfield Inn has rooms in two quaint historic houses within walking distance of Plainfield's quaint downtown, which has many historic buildings and several good restaurants. It has the feel of a bed and breakfast but with no breakfast.

Nice stay. We came into town for a Mardi Gras party, and the Plainfield Inn was just a couple blocks away from the Tavern.

Great find near Chicago

Justin was super nice host and property manager and very responsive. Place was beautifully combination of modern and vintage. Just one block off a historic thriving street which was filled with family owned businesses.

We had a great stay . Location to downtown Plainfield was great. Stairs to go up to room are steep but this nearly 150 year old house is well maintained. Room was very clean and had plenty of room / space. Bed was very comfortable and private bathroom was great to have! Owner was very responsive and helped make sure our stay was a good experience.

We enjoyed staying at the Plainfield Inn. There was good communication between us and the manager making check in easy. There is parking which is convenient but it’s a bit tricky maneuvering while backing out.

It is a very quaint home. Stairs are very narrow and steep for anyone with difficulty. Place was very quiet, bed comfy. Bathroom very spacious and updated. We were only there one night but would stay again.

Justin provided a history of the property and was very accommodating. The Inn is close to many great restaurants, shops, breweries, and more. I would highly recommend a stay and plan to visit again!

Room was small and we did have a neighbor who had a dog who was noisy. The dog needed to go up and down stairs several times a night which woke us up each time. The room was so small that when we put the suitcase on the floor we had to step over suitcase to get to bathroom. Other than that it’s very nice and clean and comfortable. Stairs are really tough to manage with heavy suitcase and parking can be bad if you come back late. The Parking availability is not the greatest. Close to town which is super nice for evening walks. In nice area and across from park - great for kids.

It's a renovated historical building but still has the original character and charm, which I really liked. Super easy check-in/out process, very clean. Owner is very communicative & organized. Good sized fridge & Keurig in the room with a microwave to share in the foyer area, so that was nice. Cute little downtown area with restaurants, shops & a little park. We felt very safe. Property has a tree swing out front that my granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed. We were visiting the museums, etc in Chicago but didn't want to stay in the city so this worked out perfectly.

Very clean, cozy, and secure. The location is central to a lot of shopping and venues. The customer service is great. The owner texted us and was available with any questions.

I had been wanting to stay here for awhile as it was a close location to family in Plainfield. I was pleasantly surprised when arriving. Will stay here again and hope to visit the local restaurants and shops that are so close. Very nicely done.
