"The location of this parador is one of the most spectacular I have seen (and I travel a lot, too many countries). And, as all Paradors I have stayed in, the design of the building and of the rooms is outstanding. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff is polite and helpful. I wish we could stay longer! "

"The breakfast at this hotel was very nice in a relaxing environment. The location was within walking distance to the beach and walking trails. The staff were especially welcoming and warm. The amenities were nice, but it was too cold to use the pool at this time of year, especially since the pool was unheated. The sun and hot tub are by appointment which makes for a relaxing environment. We booked the rooms with terraces and felt that they were agreed value with nice views, outdoor furniture, and outdoor shower. "

"Beautiful modern and clean property, with great facilities. The views to the front are awesome, and the rear garden pool and terrace are great for relaxing in the sun and sunbathing. The location is also good for an envogorating walk to and from Begur centre, or down to the beach in Sa Tiera. Communications with the owner Benoit and the local host Marta were also excellent. "

"We had a fabolous time in Pals, the property is very close to the beach and to the local ameneties like supermarkets, bars, etc. Everything can be done in walkng distance. The flat is extremely well equpped, three TVs (one in each bedroom and one in the living room), washing machine, dishwasher and drier are also in the property. In addition there are plenty of extras for the stay, from masks and fins, to chairs, beach toys for the kids.. "

"Lots of inside and outside space for a family of 4. The pool was excellent. The agents were great, sorting out one issue straight away. We have booked again for next year as the whole family loved it."

"Beautiful villa and pool in a wonderful location. We spent 2 weeks as a family of 5 (3 teenage children) here in August. The villa, grounds and surroundings surpassed our expectations. The view across the valley and sea is wonderful and the villa felt like a home from home. Everything is very well and lovingly maintained. It is a pleasant walk downhill and along a coastal path to Cala d'aiguafreda which has a good and reasonably priced beach bar (probably a 10 minute walk there but a little longer back as uphill) and another 5-10 minute walk around the coastal path to Sa Tuna beach with more cafes/bars. Begur village is a lovely village within 5 minutes driving distance from the villa and there are plenty more Spanish villages only a short drive away that are worth visiting. We also visited Girona for a day (by car) and took a day trip to Barcelon (by car and train) so we mixed a beach holiday with some city visits which was great and we all loved returning to the sanctuary of the villa and pool after a day exploring. The owners of the villa, Sian and John were brilliant. So responsive and helpful – nothing was too much trouble and it made the stay very special. We hope to return to the villa soon and would definitely recommend. "

"We loved staying at this villa! We were a group of 10 friends (2 children) The setting was fantastic on the outskirts of the main town, so really quiet and peaceful and on the edge of the forest that you look out to from the pool. The pool is fantastic, it’s huge, at great temperature and plenty of shade sunbeds and tables to sit out at. Check in was simple with the agent, we were able to check in early, which was very helpful. Communications from the owner were also very quick and helpful. There are two good restaurants and a well stocked Spa supermarket within walking distance - it is all downhill though so an uphill walk back which is tricky if it’s hot. There is very little parking near the beach so would recommend hiring bikes to get around from the villa. The only downside to the villa is the lack of air conditioning which in the week we were there was quite uncomfortably hot in the day and at night. There are fans available but don’t work that well so the only way we kept slightly cooled was to have cold showers and keep on swimming … also a better selection of glassware in the kitchen! Don’t be put off though it is an excellent villa to stay in .. "
