"The hotel had a refresh but they did not go all the way. The walls need painting and there were dust balls all along the baseboards. Hallway carpeting needs replacement. The driveway needs to be replaced."

"The hotel was very nice and clean. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Our first room had a broken air condition and they quickly switched our room with no problem. It has a boutique hotel feel and really close to the Long Island ✨Sound. Also only a 20 min driving distance to the Jones Beach Theatre, would definitely stay here again."

"Very nicely decorated, great kitchen, perfect for two people. Very clean! Host was very quick to replace or fix any issues. Easy walk to beach and market. Lots of games, including a Pacman arcade!Regarding the listing accuracy, there is no spa or hot tub, outdoor shower not working, and we saw no smoke detectors, CO2 Alarm, or fire extinguisher. These were not deal breakers for us.Things to keep in mind:If you are tall (over 6'2") your head will hit the I-beams in the ceiling. If you are highly sensitive to musty air, keep in mind this is a basement unit. There is a dehumidifier running 24/7 to reduce moisture levels, and you will have to empty it once or twice a day. Last, other than putting a beach chair in your driveway, there is no outdoor patio, porch or yard to sit in. I did not consider this nor realize how much we'd miss outdoor space. To be fair, it is not advertised as having a place to relax outside, and the price is very fair for what you get. Lastly, bring a beach umbrella. While chairs and passes are provided, an umbrella is not and they are not available for rent on the beach either."
