Incredible Visit
We (two families of 9) had an incredible 2 weeks stay. The owners, Helene and Pascal, could not have been nicer or more helpful (they were in a small bungalow next door so available if needed but never in the way). We used the outdoor kitchen exclusively and lived around the pool or in the ocean. The floating dock and last section of stairs had been ripped out by a storm, but a temporary ladder was available and worked fine, although we did miss the floating dock. Its about a 25 minute drive north or south to larger towns on pretty winding roads, but overall we were happy with the location (some travelers may be put off by the distance and roads). Overall, very nice villa and the owners make the trip exceptional.

Absolutely beautiful home with amazing outdoor space overlooking the ocean. Paradise!
Pascal and Helen welcomed us to their home in Paradise! Perched high above the water with access to the water, there was really no reason to leave. Every evening we enjoyed spectacular sunsets over the water. Most nights we cooked in using the incredibly charming and spacious outdoor kitchen stocked with everything you need. Pascal and Helen explained everything to us in detail and were so warm and helpful. Our first morning we awoke to fresh baguettes and croissants. We spent hours in the infinity pool and watched hummingbirds and bananaquits just feet in front of us. Helen, an avid bird enthusiast and ornithologist, taught us about the different species of birds. With her binoculars we spotted sea turtles and whales from the house! We loved snorkeling, diving, kayaking, swimming and going on a sailing charter for the day to Les Saintes which was arranged by Pascal. We only wish we had more time to explore the National Parc. Helen made us two delicious pies along with 2 bottles of champagne. Doesn’t get any better than this. Our party of 9 had the very best vacation! Thank you Helen and Pascal!

The villa was perfect for our family both In location and amenities
The villa is well appointed with two great quiet areas if one did not wish to relax out on the deck. My family especially enjoyed the covered outdoor, on deck kitchen and eating area. There is a fantastic view from the deck over the ocean. We could go directly down the stairs to the dock to swim in the ocean and snorkel. I especially enjoyed the many local birds and resident iguanas. The location was perfect for my outdoors type of family. Our hosts, Hélène and Pascal were very helpful with suggestions about the area and ensuring there were no issues.

AMAZING VILLA IN POINTE NOIRE
This villa was all we could have imagined and more. To begin, the hosts, Pascal and Helene, were so great. They live in a small house on the side of the villa so they are always around to help. They made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Since we were only their second guests there were some small things that needed to be tweaked. If we found anything that needed to be fixed they would get it fixed by the next day. They also helped to set up dinner reservations. We arrived on Christmas and they set up catering for us for that night because all of the restaurants were closed. Helene even baked us a delicious coconut cake at one point. The house was unbelievable. We spent most of our time outside. There was an outdoor kitchen, dining area, and a pool. You must love nature to stay here. We describe it as staying at a treehouse that’s not actually on a tree. Every morning we would sit at the table and watch the sugar birds. Pascal gave us sugar to give the birds and they had a little perch/feeder that they ate at. There were also iguanas, geckos, and CHICKENS! Yes there were wild chickens all over the island and in our yard. It felt so nice being immersed in nature. The mosquitos were not bad this time of year. All of the rooms were comfortable and air conditioned. Most of them had their own bathroom. Pascal added one more room that was on a balcony that was like sleeping outside. It was amazing. Pascal had brand new snorkeling equipment of all sizes. This was such a surprise. We were able to snorkel right in the front of our house. There were all kinds of fish. The location of our house was on the nature side of the island. It was very close to la Plage de Grande Anse which we loved! It is also close to a lot of the hiking spots and the zoo. The house is in a nice neighborhood and there is even a restaurant that is open for lunch 100m away. You must love nature to stay here. We would definitely come back and stay there again. Notre séjour à Basse Terre - Guadeloupe
Merci à Hélène et Pascal pour une semaine très agréable et leur gentillesse pendant notre séjour. Le cadre est magnifique et la piscine un plaisir pour les petits comme les grands. L'accés à l'ocean est un peu difficile, mais une fois dans l'eau, le paysage sous-marin vaut la peine surtout sur la gauche. En fait c'est mieux que les islets Pigeon (où malheureusement les coraux ont beaucoup souffert). La cuisine est très bien agencée et il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour les repas et la convivialité. On est dans la nature au milieu d'une faune fascinante. Côté restaurants, il n'y a pas beaucoup de choix, à part Le Naturel tout à côté. Il y a une très bonne boulangerie/patisserie à 5' en voiture à côté de l'école et à 15' au nord, il y a le marché à poissons de Pointe Noire où acheter du poisson frais ou des langoustes. Comme on est relativement loin de tout, faire l'approvisionnement pour une semaine au grand Carrefour proche de l'aéroport. Les petits carrefours Express de Pointe Noire ou Bouillante sont limités dans les choix. Une bonne découverte: le punch au rhum fruits de la passion!

Une pause paradisiaque

Séjour paradisiaque
Nous avons passé un séjour paradisiaque dans cette magnifique maison, les pieds dans l'eau ! La vue mer est vraiment spectaculaire! et la maison encore plus belle que sur les photos. Nous avons vécu dehors tout le long de notre séjour, grâce à une cuisine extérieure très bien équipée (rarement vu aussi équipé en location !). La piscine a débordement et eau salée, avec son jacuzzi juste a côté, vue plongeante sur la mer turquoise des Caraïbes a fait le bonheur des grands et des petits. La flore et la faune dans ce jardin tropical sont exceptionnels, grâce au soin et au travail d Hélène : des colibris par dizaines, des sucriers et autres petits oiseaux superbes et colorés sont là chaque jour, partout, a chanter ! Une douzaine d iguanes sont perchés sur les branches du flamboyant devant la maison, a se dorer au soleil ! Des pélicans et frégates magnifiques passent au dessus de la mer ! C est un véritable spectacle chaque jour. Nous nous sommes tous pris pour Robison Crusoé toute la semaine ! La descente vers la mer en direct (magnifique), les palmes masques et tubas mis à disposition, et l accueil adorable d Hélène et Pascal ont fait de ce séjour une vraie bulle de bonheur. Nous reviendrons dans ce coin de paradis qui porte vraiment bien son nom !

Un instant de beauté
C’est une maison bleue accrochée à la falaise, comme un balcon suspendu au-dessus de la Mer des Caraïbes - si calme et si belle sur cette Côte sous le Vent, adossée à une nature verticale qui bouillonne de luxuriance, qui nous invite à un plongeon dans les fonds coralliens, le buzz matinal des colibris avec leurs teintes fluo, les vénérables iguanes qui prennent paresseusement le soleil, le rayon vert - et d’autres explosions de couleurs avec la nuit qui tombe, le jacuzzi où on se prend à méditer en lévitation sur les flôts, les livres et les meubles qui nous racontent des histoires anciennes, la cuisine qui trône, ouverte face à l’horizon, les éclats de rire familiaux au rythme endiablé des cantiques créoles...
