"The room was clean but the building we stayed in had a strange smell that lingered in the room the whole time we were there. It was a good room for one night. I liked how they had a small kitchenette in the room with a good size fridge/freezer. The pool looked nice but we didn’t have time to swim. The staff was very friendly when checking in and out. "Firstly, I must say that the staff at the VIP Executive Azores Hotel is by far the most professional, helpful and friendly staff we've ever interacted with. The service throughout our stay was exemplary. Our deepest thanks goes to restaurant staff Hugo, Paulo, Erica and Elizaura. Enrique at the reception desk was always helpful and ready to hear about our day. The hotel is perfectly situated to the City Centre, the harbour, the pineapple plantation and the botanical gardens. The restaurant meals were fantastic, from the breakfast and dinner buffets to the sit down service provided at lunch. Our room balcony faced the ocean, and the rooftop terrace provides a view of the harbour and the landscape. Great experience!"
