Great location and easy access to skiing via buses to mountains. Ambiance was amazing and they picked us up from the train station Staff was excellent Dario showed us around right from check in and Mira was so helpful during our stay. They even provided ice bags for a leg injury and non allergenic pillow w sleeping. Breakfast was great!!!

This hotel is simply the best. The room was terrific... quiet, clean, homey. The staff made me feel welcome and valued.The parlor was a warm, quiet and comfortable place to read. They had fresh crisp apples out every day in parlor and hallways. I loved the big metal room keys and all of the historic touches. Plus they provide Engadine Pass free! That was a huge plus.

Was not able to accomplish planned 100 ride due to fatigue. However the room was very pleasant and allowed for a great day of rest and recuperation. Hope to return someday to Pontresina to attempt the ride and when I do I look to once again staying at this great locale in the Engadin Valley. Thanks Hotel Steinbock for a great stay

Great hotel with perks!

It was raining very hard when we arrived and we didn’t want to go out. The staff showed us to our rooms and arranged for a table at the hotel restaurant. The food was the best I had in Switzerland. Then the next day at breakfast the food was once again delicious and varied. Our room was small but fun and there weren’t many other rooms sharing the communal bathroom The biggest perk was the spa! The pool was warm, and the hot tub even warmer and more comfortable. It was a great perk we didn’t expect.

Excellent staff. Loved the apple a day basket. No elevator. Difficult for a guest with mobility issues. We were not aware breakfast was included. Once we went, found the cold offerings were great. Hot offering very limited for a cold winter morning. Coming in after 10PM (if you forget the night key) requires coordination with the Walther. The man there is delightful, but it is inconvenient.

Beatiful hotel, friendly staff. The hotel is well situated and when I was there, the tourist tax gave me use of local bus, train and cable cars. The breakfast buffet was lovely.

You won’t be disappointed to stay here

We stayed at Hotel Steinbeck for 2 nights to catch the Bernina Express and really enjoyed our stay here. The check-in staff was very friendly and offered to carry the luggage to our room. It was a classic hotel with an excellent restaurant and we were served with nutritious breakfast of a good variety and the lady who run the restaurant for breakfast was very friendly and efficient. Pontresina is a nice little town with majestic views of the mountains surrounding it and it is very quiet comparing to the big cities.

Great stay!

This hotel was so cute! Everyone was very friendly. The beds were comfortable. Robes were an added bonus. The room was cute and clean. And the food, both our dinner and the breakfast in the morning was delicious! Highly recommend!

Sehr basic die Zimmerkategorie

Dass es heutzutage noch Zimmer mit WC & Dusche auf dem Gang gibt... Bei diesen Buchungskonditionen in der Nebensaison ist das etwas übertrieben. Ganz ehrlich, dass sollte als Angebot auf hotels.com nicht angeboten werden. Zudem das Parken sehr teuer, Pontresina ist ja nicht Manhattan. Als Vielnutzer der Plattform ist das etwas enttäuschend.

Ein kleines Hotel in guter Lage. Das Personal im Restaurant und an der Rezeption war überwiegend freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Schlafqualität ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig, und leider haben wir kein ruhiges Zimmer wie erhofft bekommen. Das Frühstück war gut, und besonders hervorzuheben ist der empfehlenswerte Wellnessbereich.
