I was in town for a conference at the Blue Water convention center. I had lunch at the Freighter restaurant and dinner with colleagues at the Raven Café. I will be returning in the future.

It's a very beautiful city. I'd recommend coming in the summer months when you can swim and enjoy the beach.

The location of the hotel is great -- near the wonderful riverfront area, Lake Huron -- and the downtown area. Plenty of fun things to do, it's really pretty -- and a bit lower key than the lakefront town/cities on Lake Michigan.

We wished restaurants/bars stayed opened longer. Not enough time to visit them all when most close at 11 pm on a Friday night.

A fun area to walk around and explore the city! Close to many local sights!
"Excellent staff at front desk. Great breakfast and very clean room. We even had a welcome note on a pad of paper from Rachel who cleaned our room. Really nice touch.

"Trash along walkway to room had me a bit nervous about what’s inside but clean and comfortable. Little more decor on walls would make it a bit more inviting. I’d visit again. Staff above and beyond. Very friendly. "
"Would say it was a 4 star for sure.... need better pillows you dont put yoir head on and its sinks to the bed. Would appreciate firmer pillows. And a pool would have been great but was not a option."
