This is a nice condo. We especially loved the views of the Gulf and listening to the waves. We were a family of 5 and fit nicely in this unit.

We have been thinking about Thanksgiving at the beach for years, and this year we decided to do it. The condo was great and right on the beach. The weather, except for one day, was outstanding. We had a great Thanksgiving.
If you're looking for a relaxing stay at the beach away from all the usual beach stuff, Cape San Blas is perfect. It is not crowded. There are no beach chair/umbrella concessions taking up the entire beach. You can set up your tent by the water. You can take your dogs with you to the beach. The water and beach are beautiful. You can have a bonfire on the beach. It's outstanding.

Hard to get to but worth it if you're not looking for a "Commercial type Beach" experience but a get away. Well equipped for both inside and at the beach. If you forget to bring something, you are limited on places to shop.

The condo was everything we wanted in a crack vacation. The positioning of the condo provides amazing views from all three stories of the condo. We would happily stay again!

I have no choice but to be honest and say this house is amazing!!! The kitchen is high functional with everything you need! All three floors come with great views! There were beach toys and chairs available in case you forgot your own. Only a short walk to the sand. The entire feel of the house was great! Already checking dates for the next trip!!!

Family and I am escape to the Cape for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The views from the room were great! We saw dolphins, play, manta, rays, and all kind of wildlife. The access to the beach was easy and was very nice. I will be coming back again!

The location was wonderful The views were spectacular. The pool was great. The ramp to the beach was nice. the floors were beautiful. The condo needs to be updated. The doors were difficult to lock. The blinds were broken. Some of the skillets were very worn. The cookie sheets were very worn. The property exterior needs painting. This condo has so much potential. The layout is great.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Hosts were highly responsive, the view was the best, and it was nice having an end unit. Such a perk to have kayaks, bikes, and a wagon because it was less for us to have to haul down there. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again. Items that I appreciate when they work well: A/C, hot water, and an ice maker. Those boxes were checked and greatly used! :)

Would difintly book again. You wake up to the sound of the beach. The sunsets are beautiful off any of the 3 balconies. Very spacious place and peaceful. I do recommend they check their beach stuff they offer. You can tell past renters didnt take care of.

"Amelia by the Sea" has some of the prettiest views I've ever seen on the gulf. The sunset view is top notch, especially from the third floor balcony. The walk to the beach is even closer than it appears and the general area was extraordinarily clean considering that it's a dog friendly community. We loved our stay and the host was very quick to communicate with us. Cape San Blas is a fun little place to visit, especially if you love dogs.

We booked a winter stay (January) in this 3 level townhome in an older complex on Cape San Blas. This unit was an older unit (one of the first built) in this development near the entrance to the State Park. The end unit had wonderful views, was clean and had comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, and quality appointments / linens, etc. The unit shows its age but has, for the most part, been well cared for. We would recommend it to others.

The pros: THE VIEWS! You have 3 balconies all with beautiful views. Even though it was a little cool while we were there, the pool area is very nice. It was a nice size and clean. The easy walk to the beach was also a pro!
The cons: This is an older and outdated condo. There is nothing wrong with older if it is kept up nicely. Unfortunately, this place could use quite a bit of work. The doors to the balconies don't shut well and don't lock at all. This lead to the balcony door coming open twice during the middle of the night during our stay. Some of the blinds are broken. The high traffic areas were clean, but this place really needs a deep cleaning and maybe some replacing of some things.

We had a great time at the beach . We did not have cable all week and the water pressure would come and go. It was never cool enough on the 3rd floor....needs a separate unit . I would not stay here again...too many issues for the price!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and had all the basic necessities. The view was amazing from all three floors balconies. Easy access to beach and pool. The corner spot in the front row of the complex was superb. I hesitate to give it such a great review because then others will want to stay here.
We had a few hiccups along the way, but the owners were very easy to contact. The top floor did not seem to get as cool as the other floors. My note to future renters would be to bring a fan. There was a fan already provided along with a powerful ceiling fan. But my hot natured family members who stayed in the top room utilized all the fans plus their own.
I especially appreciate the hypoallergenic covers on the pillows since my son has a severe dust mite allergy. That is a rare find in vacation rentals. Also, it was nice that the place had some extra beach towels on hand for use.

We have stayed at the Cape for over 15 years and absolutely love it! This townhouse is old, tired and we were disappointed. Work that had been done was sloppy and unacceptable. Kitchen faucet loose, no hangars or hooks to hang bathrobes, etc. Their furniture was old and worn out. Literally too much paid for the condition of the unit! Will not stay with them again.

Amelia was very responsive & very nice to work with. When we had electrical & lighting issues the first night she sent two people to help who were also very nice & helpful.
A couple things - we arrived an hour after the allowed check in time & the cleaning crew was still there, & the floor was dangerously wet when we entered. We found dirty dishes in the cabinets, & some of the vertical posts on the steps to the front door were broken which was dangerous when my 88 yr. old mother went to brace herself. The deadbolt on the 2nd floor balcony door didn’t work & we found the door standing open several times when we hadn’t used it. We were told people don’t lock their doors there anyway. Overall we enjoyed our vacation very much. Just thought you would want to know.

As a family that typically vacations in the more touristy areas of Fort Walton, PCB, etc. we weren't sure what to expect from the Cape-but we LOVED it! The house was pretty much just as described, and we loved the views in each room! The leftover/provided items were a great addition-especially the beach cart! My son used it every day to haul his fishing gear down to the shore, along with the rest of our beach things. The beds were all comfortable (although the mattress/mattress topper in the 3rd floor bedroom may be needing to be replaced soon) and we had plenty of room for all of us to be comfortably lazy as we relaxed throughout the unit (My husband and I, 21 year old son, 17 year old son, 16 year old son, and 10 year old son). One thing to note is that due to there being no "chair guy" on this beach, everyone sets up their own chairs. People were claiming their spot on the beach as early as 5:30am and the front row was pretty much filled by 7:30, so make sure to send someone out early if it's a busy time of year! My son was up fishing every morning around 5 so it wasn't an issue for us. The shells on the beach were incredible. We found so many complete shells on this trip. The beach was clean and the water was clear. The only thing that was a slight bummer was the distance to a full grocery store. 30 mins was a bit of a trek- so plan accordingly. The general stores nearby were nice in a pinch though. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will definitely be back!

We took my parents on vacation with us this year. My father burns easily so he spent most his days on the main floor and on the balcony. It was nice having a half bath on this level. The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. The second floor bathroom looked to be recently renovated and was perfect for my parents and kids. The third floor tub/shower is extremely deep so be careful getting out! Make sure to hold on to the bar. Our daily back saver was the handicapped ramp leading to the beach. It made carrying chairs and pulling coolers much easier than navigating stairs. Our kids enjoyed the use of the kayaks and borrowed a float and umbrella from the closet with beach supplies. This was the first time we have ever been to Florida and didn’t have any rain! The weather was beautiful and the water was clear enough to see the ocean floor all but one day. We didn’t use the bikes, they looked like they needed some repair. Overall the condo was the perfect size for eight people. We all had enough space that we could play games together or sneak off to a quieter area for reading or just watching the ocean. The location is remote and perfect if you are looking to unplug from your everyday life.
