"This accommodation was fantastic! The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant was delicious, and the amenities added to the beautiful atmosphere. We will be back!"
"The room was as shown on line, very nice, clean plenty of towels. When we opened the door there was a heavy smell in the room. There was an ozone machine running. After some online looking, it said if there is an ozone machine running, leave the room, and no one should be in the room for two hours.
My husband went down to the desk, in the meantime I unplugged the ozone machine. A woman came up with my husband for the machine, assured me that they were not ozoning it but drying out the room. So we did not move rooms.
We open the windows when it was clear, to attempt to to get the smell out, a storm came by so we closed the windows. We went out for dinner, then onto the concert. We retuned at 9:30,
The room still had a heavy smell. I awoke a couple times the room stilled smelled.
At 9 am when we got up, the smell was gone. We checked out a bit later.
I have asthma, the smell bothered me. My husband had no issues with the smell. Our friends that were there a week before, said they has no issues with their room, which was located at the other end of the hallway."
Charming Lakehome Central to Superior's North Shore Attractions 2 Bed / 1 Bath
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed staying at this “lake home”. It worked great for the 4 of us (grandparents/daughter/granddaughter) who spent time exploring the MN State Parks. The place was nice & clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable. Nice table for eating & playing games. Kitchen seemed well stocked, but we never cooked. Our weather was very hot, so we were thankful for the air conditioning. There is a nice deck with table & 4 chairs too. We used the nearby pool every evening. Any communication we had with Justin was answered quickly. We had a fun time exploring the North Shore & found lots of things to do & great places to eat! (Delicious pies!)"
Lakeside Lair; cozy Lake Superior waterfront retreat with views!
8/10 Good
"The unit is in a wooded section, with a view of the flood bay on Lake Superior. While on the smaller side, it's suitable for 2 adults. The living area was a comfortable with a loveseat and nice leather recliner. The kitchen is small but well stocked with good quality dishes, pots/pans and a dual air fryer/convection oven. There was also a coffee bar providing extra serving space, larger pots, pans and other kitchen gadgets in cupboards below. The bedroom was small but had a comfortable king-sized bed and high-quality linens. There was an armoire with 2 drawers for storing clothes. The bathroom 's walk-in shower has a nice rainfall showerhead with good water pressure. The living room, has 2 large picture windows, and leads to a deck flanked by fir trees. Such a serene place to have coffee, and watch the red squirrels’ antics! It was unseasonably hot during our stay, and the indoor temps rose up to 80 degrees. We used the floor fan to help circulate the air and opened the deck doorway at sunset. (great to have the magnetic screen door to keep out bugs). There are several paths throughout the complex, and wildflowers were in full bloom with multiple songbirds in nearby woods.I higly suggest the host add a window AC in the bedroom for future guest."
"Lovely place, exceptionally well equipped. Very comfortable furniture. Communication with host couldn’t be better. Convenient location. Already looking forward to another stay."
