"Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good parking. Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station where you can take the cable car up to the old city. Best if you have a car since there is free parking below the train station and you’ll need to take the cable car into the old city. Breakfast is fair and available daily. Sound travels from the hallway as well as the street below, esp if you have your window open. AC is in the room but seemed to be hard to modify and the room stayed warm....

"What a charming and comfortable apartment in the historic center of Orvieto. What impressed us most was the attention to detail in the apartment that made our stay most delight and memorable. Moreover, the location just inside the walls of the historic district provided superb views as we walked to restaurants and attractions in the historic district. "First, it’s misnamed because you get the bed but not the breakfast. But it is a lovely property within walking distance to everything, right in the heart of the old town. I’m not sure how many units there are but we got the one with a large table which extends to a kitchen with a small couch in it. You’ll also see a black very winding staircase which leads to the bed. I just want to warn anyone that has issues with stairs, they are not easy to navigate. So before you book, make sure you ask about units without stairs. This unit is also in front so when glass recycling day comes you’ll awake to that noise. But it happens at about 7am so no big deal. Francesca is a wonderful host and speaks English. She’s very friendly and wants you to be comfortable. There is a kitchen but you can only use it to make tea or coffee. No cooking, but there is a small fridge which helped immensely to store cold drinks, etc.. I would recommend putting some dish towels to dry coffee cups or glasses used. We arrived by train, the station is a little more than a mile away. We then took two buses (you must change bus) to get to the Center. There are not that many taxi’s around to take you there and back so I HIGHLY recommend you set up a Taxi for services to town AND back when leaving to the train station, if possible. Do not wait until the day of. Get it booked BEFORE."

"Elena our host was one of the best hosts we’ve come across in all our travels around the world, very receptive and had a wonderful can do attitude that sadly can be missing these days. She also provided some great local travel tips!Sure we had some minor issues which we communicated to Elena, she was super responsive as was Mr Fixit Giorgio who attended to some simple maintenance issues. Casa Carlo isn’t like your usual short term rental, we stayed two weeks and it felt like home "

"The property is out on the far west Point of Orvieto so the sunsets are spectacular. The little piazza is shared with the oldest church in the city. The views of the medieval quarter on the walk into the centro are notable. There is a little park across the piazza if you happen to be travelling with a pet. The house is 2 levels with plenty of room, comfortable, and completely functional. Elisabetta and Stefano were wonderful and very attentive to our needs. It was excellent value for the cost. The photos on the website are true and accurate."
