A fabulous position in Borth-y-Gest means it’s less than half a mile (0.1 mile) from the beach, the bay and the tidal estuary, with places to eat on your doorstep and opportunities nearby for water sports, cycling and golf. Follow the footpath to the coastal town of Porthmadog (1 mile) to find a wider selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a charming harbour. Also from your door, you can discover a string of stunning, sandy beaches at low tide, or walk the clifftop coast path. If you prefer a different form of transport, you can take a ride on either of the two steam railways which start from Porthmadog. For a fascinating day out, head to Portmeirion (5 miles), the setting of the iconic TV show ‘The Prisoner’.


This delightful terraced cottage is set over two storeys and has a coastal-inspired colour scheme featuring soft colours and natural accents. Its airy lounge is a real home from home, with cushions, throws and artworks, as well as board games and a wood-burner-effect electric fire which creates a focal point for cosy nights in. There’s a Smart TV, too, for streaming cartoons, films and must-see series. The spacious kitchen/diner is another lovely spot in which to spend time together, lingering around the table over meals cooked using the range of facilities, which include a microwave and a dishwasher. When you start to yawn, cottage-style stairs lead up to the tranquil bedrooms, all beautifully designed and boasting lovely linens. From the double bedroom, you’ll have sea views over the village green. The three bedrooms share a stylish family bathroom.


On a sunny morning, take your tea or coffee out to the enclosed, paved garden, or after a beach day, you could pour a sundowner and fire up the BBQ for an al fresco evening together. For easy arrivals and departures, parking for one car is provided, and there is further unallocated on-street parking.
