"Gorgeous location and views. Rooms are huge, as are the patios. Not luxurious appointments, but comfortable enough. The beach is rocky, but the swimming and snorkeling is excellent. Lots of steps everywhere! Breakfast and lunch aren’t fancy but we’re very tasty. It did take them 3 nights to fix the A/c in my kids’ room, which wasn’t great. Overall, though, we had a wonderful time and will return. It’s a special spot."

"All staff that I encountered was friendly and helpful and I was acknowledged as sometime being a solo traveller you are missed! Beach and pool was amazing ! nice clean and with life guards on look out. My room was lovely was a single room ( double bed) room always clean, excellent shower .Tea facilities available ! Excellent air conditioning in room! Groundsmen attended the garden flowers looked lovely. Breakfast was 100% always fully stocked chef made lovely omelets and staff were polite helpful tables cleaned nothing left out. The reception team always polite helpful ideas where to visit how to get there, was no trouble for them. Local bus stopped outside hotel and was given time table."

"The property is excellent in as far as its spotlessly clean, fabulous location. Breakfast was very good and staff were excellent. It can be a little noisy but I think that's most Hotels in the area. After a couple of days we got used to it and didn't take much notice, also I think because we were on the 1st floor. But that was minor. On the whole its a great hotel. Would come back."

"Ok - first the good things. The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable - the sandy beach is just across the road and Cefalu town is about 7 minutes walk. Ask for a sea-facing room on the second floor - you’ll be in for a treat. However, this is at best a 3 star hotel and not 4 star, though the room prices are reflective of a 4 star hotel. The hotel is seriously understaffed, with the staff at the reception managing guests in the breakfast room. Quite often guests were seen queueing up at reception as there was only one staff present. Breakfast is tasty but nowhere close to the standard expected of a 4 star hotel - the coffee machine continued malfunctioning intermittently, the scrambled egg tray (a tiny one) continued remaining empty for a long time with guests waiting or moving onto the next item. The lift is old and needs immediate attention as the door sensor fails to detect motion and was almost closing in on my arm. These are little things but this is what distinguishes a higher starred hotel from the lower starred ones - and this is coming from someone who has stayed in 4 or 5 star hotels across the world - I know the expected standard, and unfortunately though this hotel is good it fell short across many areas. Having a good location and view is important but not more important than some of the observations I made above. Hope management takes this as a constructive criticism."
