Alvor

Go go every Christmas and drive down from Alicante Spain. I stay in the same chalet every year. Staff very helpful always clean and kept up to date. Love Alvor as well as our stay at Alto Fairways.

El apartamento está muy bien, muy amplio, cómodo, nuevo. Todas las habitaciones son muy grandes y está muy bien equipado, es tranquilo. Lo recomiendo al 100%

Disappointing

Although quite expensive, i booked my stay. It's still very disappointing that the TV programmes provided (non-scrambled) were only Portuguese ones. BBC News etc was encrypted! Towels need to be changed every 2/3 days. The rooms need to be cleaned better. The kitchen toaster was reported, but nothing was done. Bed mattresses need to be replaced, otherwise its sleeping with the springs pressing on your back. No WiFi in any area except the reception room! It's 2019! An extension mains cable was not in its trunking but laying on the floor! Access to the pools are between 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. This is not checked by any staff, with parents allowing their children in the pool until 8/8:30 p.m. There is also a small play area for young children, again the time they are allowed to play there is also not checked, children noisily playing until 23:00 hours

Family holiday.

Nice and very spacious apartment. Nice pool. Great value for the time of year. 15 minute walk to the beach and about 20-25 mins into the town centre (or a very cheap taxi ride, which are always available). Alvor itself is a lovely place.

Alejado del mar pero tranqulo

Estuvimos sólo una noche. El apartamento en general muy bien, excepto el colchón del sofá cama que es muy delgado. Para largas estancias seria incomodo. Tampoco dejan artículos de limpieza para ni siquiera lavar una taza de desayuno. Pequeños detalles que harían variar mi calificación a excelente.

Great Apartments

Very quiet location adjacent to golf course. A little way out of the cetre of Alvor itself....20 mins walk but that suited me. All facilities catered for, very spacious and very clean. I will be using Alto Fairways again in the future.

Lage top - Komfort genügend

Wir verbrachten 10 Tage in dem Appartement. Sehr gute Lage. Umschwung sehr schön und kindgerecht. Flacher Spielplatz um Ballspiele spielen zu können fehlt jedoch. Grosser Mangelpunkt: Der Liegekomfort der Betten lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Den Schlafkomfort in den Ferien erachte ich als einen wichtigen und entscheidenden Punkt. Unausgeruht und mit Rückenschmerzen versehen aus dem Urlaub nach Hause zu kommen, macht am Ende wenig Freude. Das Schlafsofa in der Stube war in der Qualität sehr minder und war vor Gebrauchsantritt auch nicht gereinigt. Schön wäre auch ein Doppelbett (ab 160 cm) und nicht einzelne Liegen. Unsere Rückmeldung an der Reception hinsichtlich der Betten wurde mehr zur Kenntnis genommen - mehr nicht. Andere Gäste hätten sich ebenfalls zu diesem Thema geäussert und die Umstände bemängelt. Ob sich da etwas ändert bleibt offen. Dieser Umstand ist für die aktuelle Kostenhöhe (Nebensaison) noch tolerierbar, aber für die Hauptsaison ein absolutes No-Go bei € 150.00 pro Übernachtung für zwei Erwachsen und ein Kind. Absolut Top sind die sanitären Anlagen (ausser Ameisen im Bad) und die Küche. Weniger schön war auch der Umstand, dass keine kostengünstige uneingeschränkte Internetverbindung zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Auch die absolut geringe Anzahl an zur Verfügung gestellten Sendern beim TV lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig.

Potential - but more care required

Great location, lovely town house style units. Very new, very clean, nicely appointed. However ... kitchen very sparsely equipped and beds are hard as rocks (all woke up with sore backs every morning). Would love to go back, but not with the beds the way they were. No in-room WIFI. Only in reception area that is only open from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm. TV did not work - had not been programmed to receive any channels. Staff had very limited facility in English so did not even try to explain that problem. Reception is supposed to open at 9 am and again at 2 pm after lunch but staff are frequently 15-20 minutes late arriving.

Tolle Ferienwohnung mit wunderbaren Balkonen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Toller Ausblick zum Golfplatz...allerdings wurde dieser Platz leider jeden Morgen frisch gemäht !

We booked Alto Fairways but on arrival they told us there was a problem and we would have to stay in their sister hotel Prahina Clube. This was a nice hotel/apartment but not what we booked luckily ut was only for 1 night.

Apartamentos muy tranquilos

La limpieza es deficiente en cuanto que con una fregona húmeda retiran la suciedad del suelo sin pasar una escoba antes. El polvo de las superficies no lo retiran. Por lo demás, el apartamento es excelente, lugar muy tranquilo, aunque lejos de la playa para ir caminando (20 minutos campo a través), lejos del pueblo y de algún supermercado.

A bit far from town, you need a car.

Lovely complex, staff very helpful especially when we couldn't operate the very modern hob on our first day. Cleaned every day , we'll kept grounds, security at night, safe parking.
