"It’s a beautiful property with amazing access to the beach, but the rooms are old. It needs refurbishment, and it needs a lot of love. (to be honest it is not a five star room to any standards.) however the staff is amazing. Amazing breakfast the most beautiful view you can imagine and private access to the beach. Makes it a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for a four star hotel "

"lots of choices for breakfast pool area could have been made more attractive with some planters - it was spring bit we saw other hotels with attractive surroundings bird droppings were evident and didnt see any staff cleaning the area daily"

"Could not ask for a better location in Portimao. Very central and across the road from the beach. Very extensive breakfast buffet. comfortable room. Very helpful staff. Portimao is about 45 min drive from Faro and 25 min from Lagos, so it's a good central location. Would highly recommend."

"Was quite a nice stay for a reasonable price. You get what you pay for. Staff were friendly and the hotel was right outside the main strip so close to the beach and shops. Only downside is it’s right outside the local clubs and bars so if you go bed early it can be a bit noisey"

"I liked the big spacious room with a big bathroom including the bathtub and bidet. After traveling Europe and staying in small spaces this room was like heaven. The balcony overlooking the marina was an added bonus especially for the morning coffee outside. I was charged for the coffee pods which was disappointing. That should have been complimentary. I missed the breakfast included and at check-in that should have been made more clear with a tour of the eating areas. I enjoyed it on the last day and it’s one of the big benefits that I unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy. I booked through Expedia and maybe if I had dealt directly with the hotel that important detail would have been more clarified. The attendant driver who helped with luggage and getting to and from the room was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable and efficient. He deserves a raise!! Overall I highly recommend this place and I plan to return the next time I’m in Portugal. For certain."

"We had a really enjoyable stay in the first week of May 2026. The staff at the hotel were great, really kind and provide great customer service, especially Harley on reception. The hotel was always clean including the pool area and restaurants. Food was very good both for breakfast and at the onsite restaurant for lunch and dinner. Would be happy to return."

"O hotel superou as expectativas: novo, muito limpo, funcionários ágeis e atenciosos, quartos espaçosos e amplos com cama e sofá e restaurantes com comida muito saborosa e variada. O vinho é da Casa Ermelinda que particularmente gosto imenso. As atividades são interessantes e a piscina e bem grande e apropriada para todos. Os únicos pontos negativos: além do SPA que normalmente é pago, o ginásio é pago a parte também (nunca vi cobrarem, nem em hotel, nem em cruzeiros), as máquinas de arcade são pagas e os snacks são simples e não pode comer fora do snack bar que fica no andar subsolo."
