  • The Hamilton House offers a clean, modern and inviting place for guests to stay while visiting Portland. The house will comfortably accommodate up to 8 adults. It has three bedrooms which include a master bedroom with a king size bed and adjacent master bathroom, a second bedroom with a queen size bed and a third bedroom with a queen size bed and several twin size bunk beds that are perfect for children. The house has a second full bathroom in addition to the master bathroom. The bathrooms are fully stocked with towels, soap, shampoo and other essential toiletries. In addition, the house has a modern kitchen, dining area, living room, laundry room (with washer and dryer), desk and a garage. The house has several smart TV's, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation, books and board games for guests to enjoy. We also offer internet with 500+ Mbps WiFi.

    The kitchen has stainless steal appliances which include a gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, coffee makers (Keurig and drip machine), kitchen utensils and other essentials for those planning to cook at home.

    We have an enclosed garage for guests to park in. This will accommodate one automobile. The driveway is large enough to park several additional cars or an extra-large vehicle such as an RV or trailer.

    The house has three smart televisions throughout. The TV in the living room is equipped with the Comcast Xfinity premium cable package. The televisions also connect to the internet and allow guests to sign into their Hulu or Netflix accounts. The house is further stocked with an array of DVDs and VHS movies for guests to watch.

    We have a Ring doorbell camera at the front door as well as exterior security cameras for safety.

    The Hamilton House is located in Southwest Portland and offers convenient access to shopping in Raleigh Hills. It is close to several major highways which make travel to and from downtown Portland a breeze. The rental property is approximately 4.5 miles from downtown Portland and this trip takes approximately 15 minutes by car without traffic.

    As the parents of two children, we understand how difficult it is to travel with young kids. We have tried to make our VRBO rental home as accommodating as possible for families. We have provided bunk beds, a Pack n' Play, a high chair, strollers, safety locks, etc. We have blackout curtains in the kid's room for nap time. The house also comes stocked with children's movies, a Nintendo Wii, PlayStation, board games, kids toys, as well as arts and craft supplies to keep the young ones occupied.

We loved our stay at your house. We appreciated how clean the house was and the spaciousness to spread out. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with beautiful pans and dishes too! Thank you! We’ll definitely be back!

Everything you could need and want, and in a lovely location :)

We loved seeing trees out every window, nice quiet neighborhood. Great open floor plan for family to hang out together. Owners kindly checked in on us after a stormy night (thanks!). 5 stars all round, would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable stay

Our stay was pleasant, we had enough space for our group of six & a wonderful yard for our kiddos to play in. We arrived during a heat wave so it was a bit warmer in the evenings. The kids loved their room and added to the art wall that displayed art work from past guests. The location by far was the best part, close to everything we needed and easy to come and go.

Perfect family home in Portland

We enjoyed our stay in Portland. The house was in a perfect location to visit everything the city has to offer and is close to the major roads if you want to visit sites further away. Fred Meyer within 5 minutes was perfect for our shopping. The kitchen was full of utensils and it is no problem to cook your own meals. An extensive TV package is provided. A nice surprise was the airconditioning as it was not advertised but very welcome for the hot days during our stay.

Property is just off of through road, but we didn't experience much traffic and didn't hear anything at all from the house. Surrounding hedge is lovely, LOTS of space for parking, and the property feels comfortable and private. Upscale neighbourhood to enjoy a walk in.House and linens were very clean, although I did notify the owner about some little ants in various rooms, particularly in the kitchen. Lots of pots and pans and great eating area. Some of our family thought the beds were not as comfortable as hoped, others were fine with them. Our 19-year old son happily took the top bunk; he just had to be careful about the limited head room. The four kids shared the very nice main bath and did not kill each other, and we appreciated the ensuite with shower.Very hot days, but the temperature in the house was comfortable the whole time (we did run the portable a/c in our room). Check in and check out was easy with instructions, and we found our way around and in and out of Portland without difficulty.

Family paradise

In town for a family wedding. Our group included grandparents, adult kids, and grandkids. This house has privacy with yard to give kids play room. Located well to coffee, doughnuts, and groceries. Beautiful safe area.

Great child-friendly home

This home worked well for our family, which included my husband and I, our 18-month-old and my parents. The house is very child-friendly and we felt right at home. It is located a short 10-minute drive from the city and was very convenient.

SW Portland home with a great host

This home is well equipped for a family's needs and the hosts are very responsive. The neighborhood is peacefu and quiet. There is not much within easy walking distance but there are a lot of options for recreation within a reasonable drive.

Perfect for our needs

A group of five of us stayed for a weekend conference. The house had plenty of parking for our three cars. Everything was clean and comfortable. Jordann was quick to respond to questions and we found a great dinner place based on suggestions in the binder in the living room. Everyone was happy with our stay. Thanks again!

Very nice

The place was very nice and clean and comfortable. Also, it was great to store my vehicle in the garage. We wish we had more time to spend at the house and Portland. Only downside was the TV in master was small and didn’t have the features of the other two tv’s.

Great location, close to Washington Park

We enjoyed our stay in the Portland area. We found the house met our needs just fine although my husband and I found the king bed to be too soft. We both prefer a firm mattress and the king was just not. The decor seemed a bit sterile but that may just be the owners style. All in all, our stay was fine!

A great family break

Hamilton house is well equipped to host a family fir a short break in the Portland area. Close to the zoo and lots of resturants and stores it is easy to navigate to get to all necessary spots and to tourist locations. Jordanne was very supportive and helpful to fix any issues that may come up. There was something for every age range and when the Wii didn't work they arranged to drop off a playstation 5 for the kids. Super fast wifi andwell equipped rooms provided lots of entertainment for the whole family.

Over it was very pleasant.

Master bedroom bed was not very firm and bunk bed on top is very close to ceiling and difficult to.ce down from it. Otherwise everything was great and location was perfect.

Great house for families with children!

My family (husband, 5-year old and 2-year old) met up with my parents and stayed for 4 nights and it was the perfect spot for us. There was plenty of room for all of us and my kids absolutely LOVED the toys, books, games, etc. that were provided. We visited the zoo one day which was SO CLOSE to the house and went to OMSI as well, also a quick drive. Jordann was so quick to respond to all of my questions. Everything was what we had hoped for other than the beds being way too soft (I'd suggest replacing them with firmer mattresses) and the dining room table was too small (there is definitely enough space to upgrade). But I'd highly recommend this house for other families that are wanting to explore Portland with young children.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting from out of state and definitely felt like we were at home. The house had everything we could think of that we could need, including complimentary coffee and is definitely a great fit for families. The hosts were also prompt with their replies to our messages. The only issue we encountered was that we came during a heatwave, highs in the upper 90s, and the HVAC could not keep the house cooler than 75. There were fans provided to help with airflow and the host also offered to bring a window AC for one of the rooms (we passed because it was our last night) but it was too hot inside for us, personally, until later in the evening when the temp dropped outside and we were able to open the windows. But other than that, the house was great! Very clean, in a nice, quiet neighborhood with close proximity to grocery stores, a Walgreens and tons of amenities that you would need when staying with children of all ages.

This listing is an absolute dream for families/groups traveling with young children! The Hamilton house is stocked with almost every & any little thing you can think of, especially items for young children which we were so incredibly grateful for! The location itself is decent commute to everything Portland - OMSI, Downtown, the Zoo, Mutlanomah, etc. Our hosts were very responsive & accommodating - would definitely recommend to families with toddlers & infants! We found ourselves spending a lot of time in the actual house since there was so much to do for the kiddos; the playroom & toys were especially a hit.

Great Place for Families

Stayed here with my mom, my husband, and our 3-month old. Loved that they had a pack-n-play so that we didn't have to bring one! Nice neighborhood and the house has everything you need.

Spacious well stocked house, plenty of parking

Excellent communication and fast response with the host. The living room sofas could easily sleep 2 more people. The washer was the biggest I've ever seen, great for our laundry needs. We didn't use the kitchen much but it seemed well equipped. Thank you for letting us stay!
