Great getaway in St. Johns! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is spacious and comfortable. It does feel like being in a tree house and has a deck that looks over a big back yard and beautiful trees all around. The apartment had everything we needed and was easy to settle in for a few days. We hope to book it for a longer visit with our daughter and family next summer! Russel was super easy to communicate with and was readily available for any questions. He is a perfect host.

Lovely space, very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Our host communicated right away if we had a question. Plenty of clean towels, loved the cotton sheets, great mattress and appliances for us to use. It has a balcony off the top floor, it made us feel like we were in a treehouse!

Family vacation

Cute and cozy, rooms were spacious with a tv in both bedrooms and the livingroom. The home was pretty much clean minus the refrigerator, but when i contacted the host about it, he was very responsive and accommodating. We were thankful to have the extra spices in the cabinets for cooking as well as the extra garbage bins on the patio in order to clean up afterwards. Our family enjoyed our stay and had a great time!

Great stay, lots of amenities

Russell’s property is very cute, well stocked with spices and toiletries, and clean. The beds are very comfortable, including the pull out sofa sleeper. Russell was very easy and quick to communicate with and I plan on staying here again the next time I take a trip with friends to Portland.

The rental was as described and clean with extra food and amenities in the kitchen. We went with an older couple, which made the stairs a little difficult since the bathroom is upstairs.

Thanksgiving Get Together with my Daughters

We flew in from California. Had a struggle with car rental details and phone technology on our way in to St. John's. We were arriving late, and stress was high. I called the host directly and immediately felt better! He assured a new passcode was available for entry and allowed us to have a nice stay. The place is wonderful, well equipped, beautiful natural light. Love it and will return as we visit the girls often. The oldest daughter just moved into this area from SE Center Street area so we have found a new perfect stay!

St. Johns visit

Really cute unit in a terrific neighborhood. Clean and tidy, comfy bed and plenty of towels. Had a great stay for several nights. Needed to contact the host a couple of times but had a prompt response and issues were quickly resolved. Kitchen could use a few food storage containers and things like plastic wrap, foil and/or baggies; maybe a couple of serving dishes or large bowls too…otherwise it was nicely furnished. Only suggestion I would make for the host is to leave a notebook with instructions on how to operate the heating/cooling units and the TV system. We needed help with both (and Russ was really responsive). Really nice location and great restaurants close by if you don’t feel like cooking. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely, roomy home with everything you need and more!

We loved this property for our visit to Portland - super clean, well-appointed, king-sized beds, well-stocked with everything we needed to make some meals, have coffee on the deck, and more. Owner is very responsive and amenable.
