The house is in the newly built Abbey Creek community right next to PCC Rock Creek. When you enter you'll find an open floor plan connecting the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances that is perfect for home cooking. Upstairs has the four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a washer and dryer. Attached to the house is a two car garage for convenient parking.

  • The California Condor was a common sight along the Columbia River in Lewis and Clark's day. By the early 1980's, there were only twenty-two left on the face of the planet, all in California. Today, thanks to a massive effort to re-populate the species via in-captivity pairing, there are some two-hundred members. But their recovery is far from assured. The Oregon Zoo has undertaken its own recovery effort whose ultimate goal is the re-introduction of the species into the protected wilderness area around the Columbia River Gorge. In short, to bring them home. For now, they live out their days in a vast, outdoor aviary designed specifically to mimic their habitat in the wild. If you have never seen one up close before, I urge you to come take a look. They are larger than any flying bird you will ever see, unless you go to Peru. And though black and white practically from head to toe, their plumage shines and reflects the light like dark, polished metal. If that doesn't suit your fancy, I will tell you that, as with all big birds, if you wait around long enough, they will do something so awe-inspiring that it will take your breath away, and something so goofy that you will laugh out loud. The place was very well set up and clean.We didn’t feel the need for any extra amenities. My wife really appreciated the make up remover/towels and the quality of products in the bathroom.

Convenient and Spacious

Our stay was great! The house was very spacious, perfect for 2 teens and 3 adults. We really appreciated being able to park in the garage, it made for easy unloading. It's a bit tight to get in and out of the ally, but overall so convenient. The house did have a faint smell of cigarette smoke, whether it was previous owners or guests, I don't know. It didn't bother us, but I mention it in case someone is extremely sensitive to it. Communication to the property manager before check in was great. We didn't need to contact them during our stay, but it was nice to know they were very responsive. Something to be aware of for future guests: the street is very busy and noisy during the morning and evening commutes. The rest of the day it was pretty quiet and there are some lovely trees across the street where we could hear the birds chirping. We didn't mind since the location is near our friends we were visiting, closer than any hotels. Would definitely stay again!
