"Walking into the Magic Barn the first time was, in fact, magical. You can really feel the creative energy and sense of fun the owners put into the design. It was great!"

"Unfortunately we did not have a great experience here. Although the front desk people were very friendly, neither Expedia or the hotel itself warned us there would be road construction right outside our room until 1 am. All the other guests had already asked to change rooms so we were simply offered earplugs which don’t help much when there is jackhammering going on. The hotel was aware of this and should have contacted us since they were putting us on that side of the hotel. Coffee and tea selections were very minimal in the morning in the lobby as well. Usually Expedia includes all fees in their final price. After we checked out the hotel also included another $60 in city taxes. Thankfully Expedia set it right and gave us a refund for the taxes. "

"Really cute great house, warm and friendly. Only issue was the vague smell of cigarette smoke when the living room got warm during the day. We had such a wonderful stay. Thanks "

"Shopping was very centralized, there was always parking!Home was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. Aaron was a great host, communication was quick and very accommodating. I loved the little facts about the home that made it more fun!"

"While the room was very clean, there was no fridge and no microwave. And since I was on a business trip, that made it hard to have food to eat or bring back left overs. The shower had no pressure and both the shower and the sink leaked with no way to stop it. I did report that at the end of the stay. Bathroom was super tiny and no place to put anything. Towels super thin and definitely one use only. I try to reuse to save on water. It also turns out that it’s a party hotel for people hooking up and doing party drugs. Found that out from locals once I told them where I was staying. Parties when until 4am often banging up against the wall behind my bed. People walking by and knocking on your door for laughs at 5 and 6 am. Or just people super loud laughing and having fun while they smoked outside their rooms at 4am. And when it says Continental Breakfast, it’s just a coffee marker, dry cereal in a dispenser and milk in a mini fridge. Most of the room had boxed equipment in it. I feel bad for the owners because it seems this is not the clientele any hotel/motel wants. But for the amount we paid the photos and description were extremely misleading and I could have stayed at a Motel 6 and felt safer. "

"Adorable as all heck! Met the owner upon chrck in, super friendly and very helpful. The property is stunning and the airstream was the perfect size! Everything that came in the airstream was helpful, the space was well decorated . And the TV with the classics was an added bonus! Will absolutely be staying here again! Thank you "

"The staff, Glen,Dawn,and Michael were very nice and helpful. The room was okay, no amenities. The area around the hotel was a little sketchy. The hotel is an old building that had squeaky floors and you could hear your neighbors."

"The house was very nice and comfortable. The only issue I had were the beds were very soft. But that may be because I prefer a firm mattress. Also, just so you’re aware there are dogs in the adjoining area that you can hear bark sometimes. But we were not too disturbed by it. The host was fantastic in communicating and answering our questions and getting back to us in a very timely manner."

"Amazing property right on Division. We were in town to see a show at the Tomorrow Theatre across the street so location was 10/10. Easy access to the house/room and the continental breakfast spread was impressive. Would and will book again the next time we stay the night in Portland."
