"We were surprised that we had to pay extra for heat in the property by purchasing heat credit. The property had a horrible Mildeu smell, which was present even with the windows open. Inside, it was very tired and very small. There is no way it sleeps five comfortably. The larger bed in the main bedroom was uncomfortable with a worn-out foam mattress. It was so painful that I went outside and slept in my car. Additionally, when I woke up, I had beetles crawling on my feet. After we returned...

The cottage sits on its own, and has a secure gated driveway, but the added convenience of being just off the main road into Criccieth and Pwllheli, and with a mile walk to the beach. Well equipped in the main, though take your own loo rolls! Booked through Hotels.com but actually through Sykes Cottages, who offered great service on the phone. "Such a beautiful and spacious home, we felt it had all we needed and much more, lots of space for our 4 families to get togethe. Well set out and excellent space for everyone to be able to eat, cook and play together with everything that we needed. The kids loved the upstairs seating area as the was so much space for them to play. The adults loved we could keep an eye on them while we had space to cook and enjoy the safe feeling they were close by. The bedroom very spacious and nicely laid out...

"Beautiful large house very close to the beach and centre of Abersoch, lovely bedrooms to choose from and with all the utensils, towels etc to accommodate a large party. Our only small issue were the scatter cushions on the sofas needed a clean/change and the floor left your feet a bit dirty. That said, we had a fantastic stay and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this beautiful property."
