I loved this place! So quaint, very clean, breakfast was very nice! Loved it!!! Only downside was road noise, but I’m a country girl, so any night noise is loud. Windows did have shutters that helped! This place is close to everything. Would highly recommend!!

One of the nicest rooms I have stayed in. Great character with modern and rustic design, and always a bonus having a kitchenette with fridge. The location means you are a stones throw from the river and its bustling dining and tourist culture. The only negative is being located on a main road, however there is air con and window shutters to help manage the noise especially at night. The cafe is very good for breakfast also. Highly recommended.

Great location and very nice view. Just to let people know you may have to climb a few flights to get to your room. Very pleasant people run the hotel. Delicious breakfast.

No elevator
The place is great however, there’s NO elevator and you have to carry all your stuff up. We staid on the 4th floor which meant 8 flights of stairs. Is not my ideal place to stay considering the town Also is very noisy it is right next to a tunnel and the car’s hunk all day n night the city trucks start work at 7:30 am You can hear the other guests go up n down the stairs. Some people are okay with that it was hard for us. Even though we had help for the person downstairs when we arrived.

Fantastic guest house in the heart of Ribeira
Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location. Transport to and from airport arranged together with an amazing trip up the Douro valley with wine and port tasting and a great meal at a local restaurant. Good selection of wines and snacks. Fantastic value for money…….the staff really went the extra mile!

I just loved my suite, mini kitchen and bathroom...loved the wood floors and big windows....its right by the tunnel so a bit noisy at night but i definitely would stay there again!

Location is top notch- enjoyed being close to the river and still in walking distance to all the neighborhoods of interest. We worried ribeira was too touristy, but this was off the main drag and didn’t feel too touristy at all! The staff was delightful and helpful with recommendations, storing bags post-check out, etc. We read many reviews about noise being too much - while we heard traffic through the windows throughout the day, we slept soundly! Don’t let it scare you away from this gem (or just bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper).

Delightful spot in the heart of Porto!
This was a wonderful hotel in the heart of Porto within easy walking distance of the bridge to Gaia, the historical parts of the city, and the main meeting spots for many tours. The staff was lovely - Fernando helped us with suggestions for meals and things to do. The room was spacious and lovely. While the street sound is certainly audible, honestly there wasn't that much traffic at night or even the early morning which allowed us to get good rest. We would stay here again!

Fantastic stay
This is a really beautiful place to stay. The staff are all fantastic the main guy is very professional, each time asking if we needed any recommendations during our stay. The breakfast was just perfect and presented very well, each morning it was varied but all delicious and more than enough to keep you going. Again the host always asking if we needed anything more. On one morning even providing a takeaway bag for food we were not eating😊 Yes there are steps up to the rooms but you get used to them and not so strenuous after the first day. Great exercise and well worth the effort for the room. There was a record player in our room and albums available on the way up the stairs really nice to listen to Saturday Night Fever while sitting out on the small terrace before heading out to the nearby restaurants and bars. We had no issues with noise from the tunnel. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Porto. Remembering the stairs but also be aware that Porto is vertical hilly.

Room was beautiful and clean. Staff was friendly and offered to help with suggestions. Like others mentioned the only problem is the tunnel right next to the hotel where people honk and revs their engine all day. Otherwise the location is perfect you can walk to all the city attractions from there. Parking is a problem but it would be the same with all hotels in that area.

We met the owners and everything was delightful. Greg was very helpful and he was awesome, made the visit great. Breakfast was great portions, food was delicious, fresh fruit and great coffee.

Great location with beautiful views, lots of stairs, which is good when you are eating local cuisine and drinking their delicious port. Friendly, happy staff. The room is well equipped, the record player and supply of records was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

What a charming place to stay in Porto. It's a great location, the cafe and staff on the ground floor are wonderful, and they have a record player in the room with records to choose from in the stairwell. It's clean, comfortable and I would definitely stay there again.

This property had great service and the room was clean and comfortable. Really cute! The only real drawback was the noise outside. It is on a busy Street at the mouth of a tunnel. There’s a bar across the street that is adorable but had many people enjoying themselves outside until the wee hours of the morning. Nonetheless it is in a convenient location to the river and many attractions.

The property was in a good location in Porto. Bit we were on the 4 th floor and had steps…no elevator. The area where it’s located down by the river is a noisy area in general. So if one wants to stay in this particular area it is going to be noisy outside. The staff were excellent. They spoke English well and were very helpful for directions and things to do. The area in general was convenient to everything such as food, groceries, taxis, Uber and shopping.

The hotel, our room and the staff were excellent. They had a very nice breakfast. We were very pleased with the location that is very central to all the sites. The only concern was the road noise level due to location. The hotel itself was very quiet. Thanks to their staff for making it such a pleasant stay.

This was a beautiful stay! It's very conveniently located with plenty of dining options nearby. Everything we wanted to tour in Porto was within a 15 minute walk from the stay. It is near a busy street, so I would suggest bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Porto!

It was a wonderful guesthouse in the best possible location in puerto for a tourist. My room had a nice kitchenette and a very comfortable bed. I loved everything about it. I just wish it had an elevator.

Beautiful rooms and property tech-savvy and helpful staff. They were super accommodating and went out of their way to help. As the other reviews say, the road traffic is noisy in the room, but it is significantly quieter on the upper floors.

The view from our balcony was well worth the climb up the stairs. If you love boutique hotels, this is a great place to stay. It was nice having the kitchenette, but we enjoyed breakfast and coffee as well. The concierge were so helpful.

2 bed apartment was sub par
Upon going up 5 flight of stairs we were not able to go into our apartment because the door code given to us did not work. We called a number with no answer, then called a second number and someone came and validated the code for us. The only light fixture by the entrance had a dead bulb throughout our stay of 3 nights, so we had to use our cell phone light to punch in the code. I did notify receptionist twice. The beds were very firm. The shower was too small and hot water felt hot and cold at the same time. The shower head was loose and the attachment was loose as well. The amount we paid per night was too high in compared to what was offered, did not meet our expectations. Also, there was no TV.

The room and amenities were wonderful! Nice, airy, clean room. Loved the decor; Fernando & Anna at the front desk were very friendly and helpful - offered a great restaurant recommendation (one of our best meals in Porto). The breakfast (included) was delicious. The only "negatives" were that there is not much space for clothing (no closet or dresser), and no elevator, but even given that, would stay here again!

Great location close to everything but too close to tunnel and main street so it was noisy. Bathroom and particularly the shower is way too small and cramped. Super nice staff though and nice touches with the electronic keypad entries for the main front door and to the rooms. No keys to worry about.
