"This isn't your conventional hotel. The rooms are wooden 2x2x2 meter cubes connected to a concrete bathroom (if you are taller than 2 meters, you'll have trouble standing up straight inside). These cubes have no windows, but you can open two vents if you need fresh air. The air circulation without them was perfectly fine for us. Downstairs, there's a restaurant and bar open from 3 PM until late at night. The top floor offers additional amenities: a projector room and lounge furniture. On the rooftop, you'll find two water tanks that you could potentially swim in (we didn't, as the weather was a bit chilly). The staff who greeted us were fantastic; they were friendly and thanked us profusely for completing all the paperwork ahead of time. The hotel itself is in a very convenient location, just a couple of minutes' walk from numerous shops, a market, and several great restaurants."

"The location of this hotel could not be more stunning. It is situated at the start of the Dom Luis Bridge on the Gaia side which lends itself to stunning views of the Douro River and Porto. Staff was very accommodating and we had no language issues. The room itself was beautifully decorated, it is small but typical for European hotels. It is a decent walk into Porto so I may recommend a hotel in the city itself if you are not used to walking. But if you don’t mind the walk across the bridge, you cannot beat this location. "
