Fabulous beach location in Elba

We enjoyed a week at this property in Elba with our girls aged 11 and 13 years. The location is really the best thing about this property - only a 1 minute walk to a lovely little family beach, which we went to every day. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but you would need a car to get to shops and around the island to explore . The gardens are beautiful and the house is well generally equipped. Mozzie spray is needed if you go in August. Communication with the owner was very smooth. Thank you!

Die Villa ist unglaublich schön. Viel schöner als die Fotos zeigen. Sie ist sehr modern. In der Küche ist wirklich ALLES vorhanden. Es war sogar Klopapier und Handseife im Bad bereitgestellt. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hat bei Fragen sehr schnell geantwortet. (Wir hatten aber fast keine Anliegen, weil alles gepasst hat.) Der Weg zum Strand ist unter 2 min. Dort gibt es sogar eine Strandbar mit Kaffee und Eis. Man hat Meerblick von der Terrasse, die Sofas und Liegen bereithält. Ein paar Minuten den Berg hoch hat man einen unglaublichen Blick über die Bucht. Zum nächsten Restaurant sind es keine 10 min zu Fuß. (Es gibt auch gleich eins ein paar Häuser weiter, aber das war uns zu hochpreisig und es gab auch keine Pizza. ) Wir sind einfach rundum zufrieden und glücklich mit dem Aufenthalt. Nur eine Kleinigkeit: der Weg zum Haus ist mit dem Auto wirklich sehr eng. Wer ein breiteres oder längeres Auto hat, wird eventuell Schwierigkeiten haben. Mit unserem Van hat es aber gut funktioniert. Es ist auch ein Parkplatz im Garten der Villa vorhanden.

Traumhaft schönes Juwel #Forno ☀️🌊🛵⛱️🐚

Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Teenager, 1 Hund) durften eine Woche Gabriella's wunderschöne, perfekt ausgestattete und top saubere Villa in Forno genießen. Im Vorfeld bekamen wir bereits wertvolle Tipps für die Anreise einschließlich Fährverbindungen. Wir wurden sogar persönlich durch Maria (die gute Seele des Hauses) zum Haus gelotst. Jede Frage hat uns Gabriella in ihrer herzlichen Art geduldig und rasch auch während unseres Aufenthalts beantwortet. Das Haus selbst verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten. Selbst Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme zur Mitnahme an den Strand (50m!) stehen zur Verfügung sowie eine Tischtennisplatte. Der kleine Strand in Forno wirkt nie überlaufen (selbst im August), verfügt auch über einen Kiosk, Bootsverleih, Liegestühle. Die angeschlossenen und größeren Strände in Scaglieri und Biodola sind fußläufig erreichbar (5-10 Minuten). Ideal auch um abends am Strand zum Abendessen (Da Luciano, I due Pini...). Traumhaft schöne Lage. Außer zum Einkaufen (Portoferraio (CONAD etc.) und zur Erkundung der Insel braucht man definitiv kein Auto (Parkmöglichkeit auf dem Grundstück sehr wertvoll und vor Ort eher die Ausnahme). Der Müll wird getrennt (Anweisungen im Haus), wird abgeholt und muss nur (rechtzeitig) vor die Einfahrt gestellt werden. Unglaubliche Gastfreundschaft, herzliche Menschen prägen das Bild auf der gesamten, hundefreundlichen und sauberen Insel Elba. Grazie mille! Wir kommen 2024 ganz sicher wieder 🍀☀️🌊🐚⛱️🍷🇮🇹

A deux minutes de la plage

Très jolie maison entourée d'un jardin très bien entretenu. La maison est située à moins de deux minutes d'une petite plage familiale. Sans parking public la plage est principalement utilisée par les habitants du hameau, de ce fait il y a tja une place même au début du mois d'août. Nous y avons passé une très belle semaine.

Great experience on Elba

We booked this really great house from 21.09 - 07.10.2022. It is very lovingly and tastefully furnished, the extensive garden is more than beautiful. All details and declarations are correct, WiFi is well working. The near sandy beach is accessibly in less than 2 Minuten. We can recommend this nice house in every sense, especially for families with a dog. We will be back next year definitely.

Wundervoller Urlaub

Ein wunderschönes, top ausgestattetes und blitzsauberes Ferienhaus mit tollem und gepflegtem Garten in exzellenter Lage, gemütlich und komfortabel. Die großeTerrasse mit den vielen Liegen und dem großen Tisch ist wunderbar, man kann sich dank Überdachung und seitlichem Windschutz auch bei mäßigem Wetter prima draußen aufhalten. Die netten Sesselchen laden zum privaten " sundowner Aperitivo" ein, herrlich. Die Außendusche ist Gold wert, besonders wenn man einen sehr wasserbegeisterten Hund hat. Wir hatten noch nie ein so sandfreies Feriendomizil. Für Hundebesitzer auch super: das Grundstück ist ringsum engmaschig eingezäunt. Das absulote Plus ist natürlich die unmittelbare Nähe zum Strand, nur ein paar Meter! Zwei weitere nette Strände, Scaglieri und Biodola, sind ebenfalls zu Fuß in 10 min zu erreichen. Ebenso das absolut empfehlenswerte Restaurant Da Luciano. Vom Haus aus gibt es sehr schöne Wanderwege, einer führt direkt am Haus vorbei, da kommen auch schon mal Gruppen, die auch gerne mal am Tor stehen bleiben und sich alles ganz genau anschauen. Stört aber nicht wirklich, das Grundstück ist größtenteils eingewachsen. Einziges kleines Manko: für uns waren die Betten zu hart, die Matratzen sind nicht für Menschen mit Rückenproblemen gedacht... Gabriella ist eine sehr nette Vermieterin, die auf Anfragen schnell und kompetent reagiert. Buchung, Übergabe und alles in diesem Zusammenhang hat super problemlos geklappt! Wir, 2 Erwachsene und ein mittelgroßer Hund, haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub. Wir waren schon oft auf Elba, dieses Haus war bisher das schönste, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft

Das Haus hat eine sehr schöne Lage, 50 Meter von einem kleinen Strand entfernt, auch die größeren Strände sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Traumhafter Ausblick, schöner Garten- alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus

Das Haus ist fantastisch, Traumküche, grosser Wohnbereich, Zimmer mit guten Betten, 2 Badezimmer, Aussendusche mit Warmwasser etc.... Wir haben schon viele Wohnungen gemietet, noch nie hatten wir ein so schön eingerichtetes Objekt, man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl und wie zu Hause. Die Lage ist speziell und sehr schön, wir genossen den kleinen Strand unterhalb des Hauses, abseits vom Tourismus. Ein grösserer Strand ist in Gehdistanz gut zu erreichen, dort hat es auch ein tolles Restaurant. Wer Ruhe sucht und einen gewissen Luxus an Wohnqualität schätzt, ist bei diesem Objekt an der richtigen Adresse. Erwähnen muss man vielleicht höchstens noch, dass die letzten zwei Kilometer zum Haus etwas eng sind zu fahren, aber machbar.

Perfect house with quick, easy access to the beach

We stayed at the house for one week with our three children, and found it very comfortable, clean and and easy to stay in. Kitchen has everything you need. There is an outdoor shower, which was great for getting the kids clean and keeping the house sand free. The yard is beautiful and spacious and the kids enjoyed playing there while when we were at the house. The yard also had fresh basil, parsley and cherry tomatoes, which we enjoyed. Don't forget to bring mosquito spray... they are definitely there in the evenings (just part of the island!).

This villa is a great place.The house itself, the location and the neighbourhood was perfect for us.

Villa La Fonte is only 60 meters away from the small but lovely beach of Forno. You can easily stroll down with just with your towel for a quick swim whenever you want to. We found that very convenient and luxurious :-) The house itself has a very beautiful garden with a generous terrace including a large dinner table and sunbeds. It´s also very well planned and equipped, you are not likely to miss anything in that kitchen. There is also a nice sea view over the bay and surrounding hills/mountains. You will have neighbours relatively close by but you are still private on the terrace and in the garden. The small bay of Forno is very quiet but you can easily reach nearby villages with small shops and restaurants by foot in 10 min. For more serious shopping its however better to drive to Portoferraio (15 min) where you will find everything you want. There is also a private parking space for your car behind the gates in the garden, again very convenient. We also found it very easy to deal with Gabriella who is the owner of this property. She speaks very good English and we felt very welcome when she met us in the house upon arrival. We will definitely consider another stay in this villa and we can highly recommend this anyone that appreciates a quiet beach location not to far from civilisation :-)

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit viel Platz in schöner Lage

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen Blick auf die Bucht, ebenso von der Küche und von einem der Schlafzimmer. Das Haus ist wirklich geräumig, selbst kochen ist kein Problem, es ist alles da: 5 Flammen-Gasherd, ein Backofen, in dem ein Truthahn reinpassen würde. Großer Gefrier- und Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler. Alles da an Geschirr! Toaster, Wasserkocher, eine kleine Lavazza-Kapselmaschine. Mikrowelle. Waschmaschine ebenfalls vorhanden. Alles für mehrere Personen angelegt. Ein großer Eßtisch, sowie eine große Couch. Draußen eine herrliche überdachte Terrasse mit viel Platz! Ein schön angelegter Garten rundet das Ganze ab. Das Haus ist komplett umzäunt, versehen mit einem elektrischen Rolltor. Den PKW kann man auf dem Gelände parken. Die Nachbarn sind alle sehr nett gewesen. Wir waren das zweite Mal auf der Insel Elba und finden es dort einfach schön. Die Ruhe, die Natur einfach herrlich. Direkt am Ferienhaus verläuft ein Fußweg zum Meer, das gerade mal 50 Meter entfernt ist. Am Sandstrand haben wir abends den Sonnenuntergang genossen. Phantastisch gegessen haben wir bei Da Luciano in Scaglieri, dort sind wir zu Fuß hingegangen, nicht mal einen Kilometer entfernt. Sehr gutes Essen, die beste Holzofenpizza, die wir auf Elba gegessen haben! Direkt am Meer gelegen,wunderschön! Eine Reservierung ist Freitags und am Wochenende aber empfohlen. Zum Einkaufen muss man mit dem Auto fahren, etwa 5 km entfernt gibt es mehrere Möglichkeiten (Richtung Portoferraio). Die Zufahrtsstraße zum Haus ist die letzten 2 km eng, aber das ist auf Elba normal. Es gibt überall Haltebuchten, Ausweichmöglichkeiten, das ist man dort gewohnt. Wir sind auch oft einfach im Haus geblieben und haben die Ruhe genossen. Empfehlen kann man aber Ausflüge nach Marina die Campo (toller langer Strand, schöne Fußgängerzone, in Cavo haben wir im Mokambo lecker Pizza gegessen, in Porto Azzuro kann man wunderschön am kleinen Hafen entspannen. Wandern mittels einer Kompass-Karte ist kein Problem, die Wege sind gut ausgeschildert. Empfehlenswert ist auch der Reiseführer des Reise Know How Verlages. Also alles in allem: Toller Aufenthalt, wir haben die Insel wieder einmal mit Wehmut verlassen.
