Located within 1 mile of Davis Lake where you can spend a lazy afternoon fishing, kayaking or paddle boarding. If it is golf you prefer, Grizzly Ranch Golf course is just 7 minutes away and is ranked in the top 100 greatest public courses in the nation in 2021 Golf Digest. Not to mention 4 other golf courses in close proximity! Maybe you want to explore Graeagle? It just a short 1/2 hour drive away. Or sip a craft beer at Brewing Lair in Blairsden. For those people that want to explore what Plumas County has to offer, there are many great places to see such as Frazier Falls, Lakes Basin or Sardine Lake.
    Hiking, biking and wildlife viewing is plentiful in the area during spring, summer and fall. In fact near the Davis Lake dam you will notice the bald eagle nest. During the winter months at the lake, you can spend a peaceful afternoon ice fishing or snowshoeing. For the adrenaline junkies bring your snowmobiles - there are plenty of places to go nearby!

The place was perfect for getaway to the woods. Super comfortable and cozy and you can tell the hosts really took a lot of care in the furniture, bedding, kitchenware etc. Definitely would recommend. We couldn’t have been happier with the stay.

Relaxing Getaway

Beautiful Place

Place was tucked off the beaten path, quiet, fun, plenty for the kids and dog to do when we were there. Having the kids downstairs is awesome. Kitchen stocked with plenty of utensils. Big lining room for all to play games and relax. Fire pit and grill was rad. Nice relaxing spot.

Perfect stay to visit the lakes

We really enjoyed our stay at Rocky Cliff! The house was very spacious and we had lots of room to rest, watch movies, read and play board games. The BBQ was perfect for our summer dinners and the kitchen was so fun to cook in: spacious with everything you need. Beautiful place too! Great experience.

Rocky Cliff

Perfect for 4 of golfers. Super close to Grizzly Ranch. Nice and quiet with a fire pit and BBQ on the deck. Very private and comfortable. I would stay again and recommend this house.

Fun stay in the mountains

A beautiful property and house in the woods. The home is nicely furnished and comfortable. Had everything we needed for a Thanksgiving weekend. Appreciated the clean spaces and a kitchen with all the necessary amenities.

Beautiful, spotless, welcoming home

The property is well kept, the decor is absolutely beautiful and welcoming. We had a great time during our stay, the house is located in a very dusty road but is really close to great hikes, lakes, stores, restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again. The managing company was very attentive to our needs, they responded very quickly.

Lake Davis trip

We really enjoyed the property . Spacious, clean very calm . we love cooking and we had all the cooking tools needed. Proximity of lake David and the mountain bike trail was jus perfect for us. We will be back!

A great comfortable home that has a lovely deck with fire-pit, BBQ, comfortable deck chairs, well equipped kitchen, comfortable couches and beds. About 12 miles from Portola, and several miles from Davis Lake.

Cozy Retreat

Rocky Cliff Retreat was perfect for what we needed. It was a cozy, comfortable place for family from different states to meet up and relax for a few days. It was beautifully decorated and had lots of nice gathering spots within the cabin and on the deck so would work well for a larger group. The claw foot tub was popular with our crowd! Owners were responsive when contacted.

Very Comfortable

Was a really hot stretch of weather but having the downstairs so cool helped a lot and it cooled enough that we could use a fan in the upper bedroom. The house is well appointed, clean and plenty of room to spread out.

The home was absolutely beautiful, the pictures do not do them justice. Serene beautiful setting, easily accommodated our family of 8 with room to spare. Host has thought everything, the towels, UGG pillows and bedding to the fully stocked kitchen. Only downfall was we wish we would have booked home for a longer stay. Can’t wait to come back and experience this home in the winter months and snow.
