The Yurt sits directly at the water's edge — a 100-acre working farm in Powassan, Ontario dedicated to conserving some of Canada's rarest heritage livestock breeds: Lynch Lineback Cattle, Large Black Hogs, and Chantecler Chickens.



This handcrafted 20-foot yurt sleeps 2 with a queen bed on a small peninsula beside a half-acre spring-fed pond. The pond is your front yard. You open the door and the water is right there.



The wood-fired sauna sits on the pond bank — heat up, step outside, cool down under open sky, repeat. Campfire pit is set up and ready beside the water. The night skies above Powassan are genuinely dark, and the pond reflections at night are something guests mention in almost every review.



Wander through 70 acres of mixed forest and pasture on private trails. Birdwatching, foraging, wildlife photography — the property rewards anyone who slows down. BBQ, potable water, and power bank for lighting and charging all included.
