"Hotel necessita urgentemente remodelação total, muito antigo, quarto sem comodidades adequadas , nem água de cortesia , atendimento péssimo, deixaram os locais entrarem nos quartos e o nosso disseram que não estava pronto Péssimo café da manhã e jantar horrível sem categoria e atenção No máximo 2 estrelas de categoria A única vantagem é que fica dentro da muralha Almeida e tem estacionamento "

"Stayed mainly to break up our journey from the Portuguese coast to the Mediterranean coast, but we were very pleased we stayed in the old town and at this hotel. They were both excellent. Beautifully appointed hotel, spacious bedroom and bathroom with lots of character. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast in a beautiful dining room, unfortunately the restaurant was temporarily closed but we were able to find one within walking distance."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing. What really put me off, though, was the general atmosphere. Some of the other guests seemed… off. A few were lingering in the hallways at odd hours, and there were loud conversations late at night right outside my room. I didn’t feel unsafe, exactly, but I didn’t feel totally relaxed either. The staff was polite but not particularly attentive. I wouldn’t say this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but I probably wouldn’t return unless there were major improvements in both cleanliness and guest screening."

"Fantastic hotel, but the air conditioning had limited control, meaning we had to go to reception at 3am to get it switched back on as the room was very hot. Restaurant is superb quality, not cheap but worth treating yourself, the tiramasu is an experience. "
