The Franciscan Hotel

"Only stayed here for one night, but after coming here we wished we stayed much longer. The rooms were wonderful in how they were set up. They seemed much larger and more spacious than a typical hotel room. Even the bathrooms were much bigger than a typical hotel. And everything felt very clean. Not sure if all rooms are set up the same but we were very happy with the actual room. The front desk staff was very good and accomidating. The breakfast in the morning was also very nice. It allows you to get up and going quickly without having to go somewhere else to eat. The beach was a pretty quick walk. It's a good locaiton. Just overall a great place to stay. If we ever come back to the west coast, we will frequent this place again."

"This is my new favorite place to stay in Santa Barbara. The decor is outstanding, the rooms quiet, the pool a nice size, the staff helpful, the location perfect to walk to downtown destinations. They even have bikes which I rode to the bike path that goes along the beach. The parking is very convenient downstairs."

"Wonderful experience at character-filled property, staff super helpful and nice. We checked out the bikes every day twice and never had any issues. We swam in both pools and explored the fire pits. Our room was very close to the street so not very peaceful but we had a nice view of pool and a bit of ocean. Would definitely return. Love the Milo!"

"The young man at the front desk was very welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, and the bed was comfortable. The building was also very quiet, which made for a pleasant stay. There really aren’t many amenities—no pool, Jacuzzi, or anything along those lines. The continental breakfast was pretty basic, consisting mostly of packaged pastries and yogurt, along with a small amount of fresh fruit. It’s enough to get you going in the morning, but definitely not what I would consider a great continental breakfast. Overall, the hotel is nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable. One of the biggest advantages is the location. It’s within easy walking distance of both State Street and the beach—approximately a 10-minute walk to State Street and about five minutes to the beach"
