Links Quay 42 - a house that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
Overlooking the vast expanse of Prestwick's sandy beach and across the sea to Arran, this holiday house offers guests the chance to sit back and enjoy beautiful seascapes and dazzling sunsets once seen never to be forgotten!
With easy access to the beach, Links Quay is an excellent base for family holidays. Only yards away from Prestwick Golf Course, the property is also ideal for golfers. The Old Course was voted Best in Scotland in 2022 and is described as a ‘bucket list’ destination for golfers around the world. The award winning courses at Trump Turnbery and Troon are also within easy reach of Links Quay.
Prestwick is a popular destination and has excellent opportunities for eating out at the plentiful restaurants and cafes. In particular, and not to be missed, the Cafe Mancini with its award winning ice cream and close proximity to the beach, again minutes from the front door of the house.
Ayrshire is a superb area to explore both for its outstanding coastal landscape, stretching along the Clyde Coast and including sites such as National Trust for Scotland, Culzean Castle and beach, down steep steps but well worth the effort. Dumfries House is another stately home which should be on everyone's list to visit and, of course, Robert Burns Trails throughout the area provide a fascinating insight into past history, life and the poet himself.
Whilst there is more than enough to do in the local area, it is also very easy to take a day trip to Glasgow or Edinburgh with the main line railway station close to the house, allowing day trips to the principal cities of Scotland to be easily undertaken without the need to take a car. Day trips to Arran can also be easily managed with ferries from Ardrossan which is just a short way along the coast.

The communication forehand was excellent and we were met at the property and shown round.
The property was as right on the seafront and had superb views and sunsets
It had everything you could possibly need and I would highly recommend it
Very convenient location, well equipped house, friendly owner. Worth it just for the sunsets over Aran. Only a short distance from the airport so ideal for photographing comings and goings. Never heard any planes from the house though. Nice town so many places to eat out handy for many other places to visit.
The sea view was excellent. The location was only a short walk from all local amenities with a beach side cafe right in the doorstep. The host was excellent, giving a good introductory tour of the premises and great information about the local high spots and places of interest.
